through out the seasons angel has changed and his personality has altered with all the things he has witnessed and experienced..

How do you think he will change in the new season and why?

I think he will grow more and more corrupted by Wolfram and Hart and soon be blind to what is going on in front of his eyes. When he finds out he will feel that he has betrayed himself and can no longer trust his instincts or himself. He will become self-concious and contiously second-guessing himself making him a worse fighter and a worse leader.

Well, lots of adjusting for our brooding hero. New place, new members to the crew...I have to agree that there will be a little corruption or possibly just danger of it. You know that the badies are gonna try. I just doubt it will be coming from Angel as much as the others. Mostly Gunn? It seems like they have big plans of change for that man...Who knows, I just hope it's interesting!

I think everyone will be deceived in their own way, Angel will be placed in the dark (pun intended) - Gunn while be deceived into thinking hes doing good by being an advocate. Fred will be blinded by love as stupid as she always is. Wesley will become obsessed with ancients scripts so he wouldn't even see if a rhino just passed him by. The only one with a sense of reality will be Spike since he is always the voice of (in)sanity.

In the end everyone will be so betrayed they can no longer trust themselves or eachother, fullfilling a goal Wolfram & Hart has had for 4 years. To destroy Angel and his team, and since they were unable to destroy them. Why not let them destroy eachother?

I hope he grows in a grows in a good way, but i bet he ends up in a darker place 🙁

if he grows in a good way and becomes 'perfect' and nothing changes, then it will be very boring and I can honestly say if there aint conflict, if there aint darkness and if there ain't bad places then I am tuning out 😛.

Maybe Angel believes that he can work to make W&H good, but instead, W&H corrupts him and his gang until they turn to the dark side. Just a thought.

My theory agrees with pretty much everyone, Angel will be corrupted. I mean there is a reason that Spike will be sent to him and I think it will be to protect Angel from corruption. He will be Angel's guardian Agnel, oh the irony. But I have a feeling that Angel won't be the only one turned to the dark side. Let's look at the facts and the clues that were revealed in "Home". A) Gunn has already bgan to go through changes since his encounter in the white room and he seems to like it. B) Wes seems like he will be willing to do anything to save Lilah's soul, I think he will go to far and accidentlyreturn to his dark side in the proccess of saving her.

So my theory is that the senior partners gave angel the promotion of sortsto make a rift in not only his team ,b ut to turn him inot the obsessed vampire he was in season 2. This pretty much splits the group into two sides, those who want to leave W&H, and those who want to stay and get power hungry. Spike leading Fred and Lorne representing the powers that be, and Angel leading Gunn and Wes representing the senior partners. It has been revealed that Spike and Fred will have some sort of relationship and she doesn't seem like the type that would be taken that far into the dark side. And I can't see Lorne being used as a tool to the senior partners. And SPike seems to be handling his soul a lot better than Angel ever has, as a human he had a whole lot more passionand even as a vampire without a soulhe seemed to have the bigger heart. I think that is what will lead Angel to W&H's side mostly, his competition with Spike, making TPTB plan backfire (again). And this has nothing to do with the topic, but wouldn't this be a good time to bring Lindsey Macdonald back?

I don't think that Spike has been handling his soul better than Angel. Didn't Spike lead Buffy into a cellar full of vampires? Don't recall souled Angel ever doing that...

I do recall Angel trying to bring about the end of the world, and him trying to slice Buffy up with a Sword. So lets not turn this thread into a (like Soulgasm would so well put it) 'falking' Angel VS Spike thread. Granted that was when he didnt have a soul 😛 But same difference 😀

Razekiel, that would be Angelus, not Angel, and I don't' see how it's the same difference. I was comparing the actions of two souled beings, and Spike came up short. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I believe I bursted my own bubble?

Yeah, well, Angel also didn't have the First on his back and in his head the second he changed back to soul boy. He only had the guilt to deal with for the longest time. And Spike didn't do that of his own free will. The first almost took Angel out before and Spike was spendig so much energy adjusting to his new soul it made him ripe for the pickin'. But yes, sorry, back on topic. Angel is going to have a lot to face I think. I mean he just lost his son and the woman he loved and now all this change. It's going to be a real challenge. For all of them.

i *hope* they turn angel dark/into angelus.but if they do,it will be a *very* slow process.I do not forsee anything like that though, when you think about it.They seem hesitent to have angelus/dark angel around.Everyonce and awhile he'll go alittle dark, but not anything to celebrate...But yes,W&H will proably change him...

I haven't really been following spoilers or paying much attention to what's being developed for Season 5, but the mere fact that Angel and Co. are now working for/running Wolfram and Hart leads me to believe that at least one of them (most likely Angel) will end up tasting/touching his/her dark side. Even with a soul, there are parts of Angel that only come out when he's at his darkest (see Season 2 for the best example). I also think he's much more interesting as Dark Angel than he is as normal Angel, and am hoping that Joss and Co. bring the darker aspects of Angel (note I said Angel, not Angelus) back to the forefront like they did in Season 2.

I hope he will become a more lighter character, the reason being, there's nothing to be sad about, Cordelia's safe, Im sure he's heard by season 5 Buffy's ok. He's got a great job, and plus the windows! lol!
But saying that, we dont know whats to happen in the middle of later oif the season...
