does anyone think that angel will retain the power he took from Hamilton when he drank his supercharged blood? and on that note if he retained drogyns power, since Izzy the devil said that his heroblood was also charged byond mere mortal(or pigs) blood.

the first time we saw angel drink blood from a superbeing was when he drained buffy in buffy season three. and he did get a powerboost from that, as seen when he ripped the handle of the door with ease in the hospital where he rushed buffy too. and how he tossed the mayor around.(even the mayor commented on his strength when he did that)

i also thought that it was a good way to explain why angel was alot stronger then most other vamps.(other then his age and elite aurelian vampiric-bloodline)

so what do you think, temporary or permanent?

also how strong do you think slayers are compared to vamps?
it varies with the vamp i know, but say buffy vs angel or buffy /spike how much stronger is she then him, i wonder if after season 5 he is stronger or as strong as B.

I'm not sure, But I always thought that him ripping off the handle of the door was just his normal strength, and him tossing around the mayor was not that much of a big deal, The Mayor had never shown any signs of having strength.

And about drinking Hamilton's blood; Well Since a vampire constantly drinks blood I would say that eventually it gets worked out of their system, so the super charged blood would eventually get out of Angels system, But It is an interesting theory!

I read in another fanfic on saveangel forum that Angel got drunk on it to a certain extent, and the mark was giving him pain and giving him a connection to the partners.I reckon that drinking Drogyns blood wouldn't do much for him but give him a temporary boost, plus he would be constantly be reminded by that boost of the heartrending desision he had to make..killing him to get in the black thorn. As for Buffy's blood that would be temporary too. There could be many ways in which Hamiltons blood would affect him but alas the series got cancelled so it wasn't explored in season six but i am confident it would of.

Vamps are strong. They pick people up and throw them around all the time. As for whos stronger, vamps or slayers, Id say it depends on each individual vamp. (And slayer) I think like humans, vamps all have different strengths. It may depend on what they were like when they were human.

i agree with BEG, i thought that when Angel ripped off the door handle, it was just normal vamp strength. plus, he was worried about Buffy at the time, so this might have added to that.
as for drinking Hamilton's blood, i think it would have been tempoary. vampires drink blood all the time, and it has to work its way out of their system somehow, otherwise it would all just get stored up, and wouldn't that be pretty? yuck.

as for how strong Slayers are compared to vamps, in the Angel ep 'Sanctuary' Buffy and Angel have a mini fight, and Buffy says to Angel 'You hit me' to which Angel replied 'Well, not to go all school yard on you, but you hit me first. And you're a little bit stronger than I am.'
which answers the question for me, anyway.

Yeah I think it would make sense that The slayer is a little stronger then a vampire, in order to defeat them, but still not overly strong so they can be controlled by the Watchers or Shadow men.

i agree with what yu said about vampires digesting the blood but i thought maybe since vampire blood grafts itself to the human host, and turning it into a demon maybe superhuman blood can graft a portion of its strength on the vampire since its entire body is is build to use blood as its energysource

and with normal blood(human, pig, otter) it just powers the body( not enhancing) but with this special blood(slayers, drogyn and especially Hamilton) that the body can to a point retain the power since hamiltons body could retain the body that was in his blood(this part is sketchy i know, hamiltons power was in his blood but probably though a continuous line to the senio powers, working in my mind sorta like a internet connectyion with hamilton the modem/computer and the SP's the provider)

does that make any sense?

Um, like the others said I'm sure ripping off the handle was what he normally did..remember he has gotten through out of windows..and through walls before..so I don't think that was a huge deal..but I did think he got a power boost after biting was it Hamilton's? Blood..

I am sure they do get some sort of power boost..love the thread.

I somehow doubt that the drinking of Hamilton's blood would give Angel even more super strength for the reasons already presented in this thread and the fact that if we look at this scientifically, blood cells die, if this 'power' is contained in these cells (which I assume it is) then the power would eventually die along with the cells.

:driving: trough the thread

.........but he did get a powerboost after he drunk hamiltons blood the question is whether it is temporarily or not

and though what you say about the bloodcells can be true, this is magic so anything goes, but more likely then not it is probably a temp upgrade the power of the demon lies in its essence/spirit, and the origin of the slayers and the continuation of they're powers lies in that essence, what i mean is because they have that essence the power won't run out

however with vampires(also demons) the power, the way they're essence is passed on lis in they're blood when they sire another

so really we have an argument for and 1 against the power in its permanent form is in the blood being passed on.

btw loving these emoticons
