In what episode of Buffy or Angel was it revealed that Angel's name is Liam. I looked in every ep of Buffy and it's not there. Was it in a book or in Angel (Haven't seen Angel in 3 years).
And also did you know that Liam is the Irish for William so Spike and Angel have the same name 🙂

In "The Prodigal" which is in the first season of Angel. In this we see Liam drinking and being well drunk a lot, then sired (with clips from Becoming) and then post siring.

thanks! cleared it right up
Its cool that Spike and Angel had the same name though.

There's a theory floating around somewhere (I want to say Freud) that girls look for boyfriends that remind them of their fathers, so maybe on a subliminal level Dru sired William because he reminded her of Liam? It makes barely any sense, but thats the way my mind works.

It's weird how when we're first introduced to Spike, he's so different from Angel, but as the season's progress we find out more and more about him that makes him and Angel seem like long lost brothers.

Great post by a great GIRLIE.
Wasn't it revealed that Angel's hman name was Liam in one of the Angel episodes? I can't remember what season or episode though... (I'm such a bad fan), though I know it was when they all lose their memories and Wesley thinks that it's a test from the Watchers' Council where there's a vampire among them and they have to find and kill it.

In that episode ("Spin the Bottle") he is referred to as Liam, but the episode in which we first learn his name is "Prodiagal," as Ashsan so aptly pointed out.

We never got a first mane for Penn (or last, if Penn is the first). Penn probably nwas his original name, though, since that's what Angelus called him when we flashbak to his first kill, and most of the others took a while to get a new epithet.
