Although I hate Angel and I think David B sucks in the role, I really
loved Angel's pad in the first season. Loved the location, the isolation,
the lack of sunlight....good stuff. For an anti-social quasi-misanthropic
loner like myself, it doesn't get much better. Just thought I'd throw
that out at all you buffy-boarders......

Now that I think about it, what season did we first see Angel's pad?
I can't quite recall....

We first saw Angel's LA lair in Season 1 of his own show. Before that, he lived in Sunnydale in what was apparently an abandoned mansion, his former headquarters when, as Angelus, he trie to destroy the world.

Hi white avenger,

I was actually referring to his little hole-in-the-wall apartment in Sunnydale where he and Buffy, well, you know, first got together and what subsequently prompted him to turn back into Angelus. But his mansion lair is pretty darn cool, too, now that you mention it.....

Yeah, I got my "Season 1's" screwed up. But I do seem to remember something about the place not having any windows, which could indicate another basement apartment, like Spike's in "Angel Season 5"
We first see Angel's apartment in Buffy in season 1 of the show. I think the first time is in the episode "Angel" when Darla pays him a visit. I loved the look & feel of it as well.

I also liked his apartment before the mansion. Although I can't help but wonder how Angel pays for his places. As for his place in season 1 of AtS, I thought it was cool but the Hyperion hotel is awesome.
