Angel's tattoo

That is impressive research Magui, and I disagree with the person who suggested the symbols in Angel/Buffy are nothing more than coincidence.

Someone on the ME staff is obviously into ancient studies.

Do you remember in Buffy 1 when Angel and Giles are discussing the Pergamum Codex. There actually is a city of Pergamum (hope I spelled it right). I think it's in Turkey somewhere. Many apocalyptic prophesies center around it. There's also a witchcraft connection.

If you look at the symbols on the seal in Storyteller you'll see two symbols on it that appear to be the Greek symbols for Alpha and Omega. The first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. The beginning and the end. This ties in with the "Back to the beginning" theme of S-7.

The symbols tatooed on Lindsey's chest in Destiny appear to be warped versions of ancient Egytian Hieroglyphics. The symbols carved into Spike's chest in Never leave me have the same formation, yet appear to be Greek. There is a Greek/Egypt connection from the time Alexander conquered Egypt, and the two cultures merged.

I don't think you can write all this off to coincidence. Someone, somewhere has gone to the effort of discovering this stuff, and making it merge with Buffy/Angel themes.
