This may be a weird thread but here goes. Does David shave his underarms and chest for the role? He seems to be completely hairless, which is fine. I think he is sexy. But sometimes, it seems like his stunt double is hairyer than him. Maybe he does this to make Angel appear "younger" cause generally hairyness is associated kind of with being "older". Just kind of curious. Hope I haven't weirded the board out. I guess I am just observant. :lmao: BTW, I love that David is forevermore shirtless on Season One. He is such a hottie. WHEW!! Off to watch Season Two....:cheering:

I'm pretty sure he shaves for the role because dark hair is pretty noticable on a guy. I used to think that James Marsters had to shave until I saw a picture of him shirtless (yummy:love10🙂 with dark arm-hair sticking out (not so yummy:sad26🙂.

I think you're right though, they made him shave to look younger (or something along those lines).
 
i'm going to be more observant in the body-hair department when i watch the series through again (which i started today coincidently) - mmmmm, that'll be hard work!
 
I think I read somewhere a long while ago that in terms of David's chest, there was some wax involved during his time as Angel.

I don't really think it's a case of appearing "younger" as it is a case of hairlessness being....well, hot. Just my opinion.
 
You know....kinda makes me sad he's not shirtless as much in the other seasons! He must have shaved or waxed, because he does have chest hair. Funny I never thought about it before, tho.

I would say he didn't show off as much cause in Season Five he kind of gained some weight. I still thought he was hot. But in on of the fights, his shirt flew up and he had just a bit of weight on him. NO FAT by any means. Just more than usual. He didn't get as overweight as Nick did.
 
Matter of fact, SMG got really skinny! Not that she's not beautiful, gee....wish I had that problem, LOL!

Yeah, he did get a little heavier in s5, you could see it in his face. I heard he had a bum knee and couldn't get the exercise he was used to, hence the extra weight. You're right, he was NEVER less than completely sexy.
 
Angel's Chest hair

I always thought he never had any, in terms of his arm hair yes he did have some because there was a picture I saw ages ago of himself, SMG sitting before filming in sports gear and he had hairy arms then, and that was Buffy series two I think.

I can't picture DB with chest hair it is too weird!
