Angelus abit gay?

If Angelus was gay, so Spike is. Or was.
And? Angelus was WAY more obvious, when he went to Dru and Spike's he didn't kiss Dru (actually he never kisses Dru I looked for a clip of that) but what does he do? KISS SPIKE... What does he do as Angelus in season four is hit on WES, I mean sure he told Fred he'd rape her to death, but WES was DAMN NEAR PERFECT.

How I see it, maybe they were both bi (being vampires, yeah) but still Spike to whoever he was with stayed as faithful as possible given being evil, Angelus had no reason to (him and Darla had an open relationship to a degree) and later he didn't even HAVE Darla.

^If you look at that way, even Drusilla and Darla were gay or bi.

I think Anne Rice has alot to answer for with the blurry sexuality of vampires.

She'd probably say that they were gay but I think they are bi in human standards. Vampires act freely when it comes whom to have sex so I don't think they'd perceive themselves as gay or bi.

What does the Girl in Question Prove?
That The Immortal had sex with Both Darla and Drusilla...no where does it say....

Drusilla: 'hmmmmm, that was wonderful.'
Darla: 'Yes, i Particularly liked that part where you rode my face like a cowboy on a horse chasing banditos!'

No, the fact is, even the Spike comment doesnt back up a Gay Angel/us, simply because intimate does not mean sexual....it could be he was referingto a point where He and Angel/us had some alone time and had a deep personal chat about unlife goals, and what he wanted to do with himself.
Granted thats far fetched, but then so is the idea of Spike and Angel enjoying a round of 'hide the sausage'.

I think in the cases we have, each character is sexually liberated but straight as 'humanly' possible.

a friend of mine said I should bring up Joss recent comments on this, but i no clue where that thread is (its on whedonesque)

Anyway I never said Angelus WAS gay, I said KINDA gay as in bi, I think it was pretty much CANON if you watched the show.

Dru and Darla, umm yeah okay I guess I'm imagining the threesome with the immortal and the allovereachotherness of Reunion"¦ yes must be that.

Firstly, Kinda Gay and Bi are two different things.
Secondly, how can you take something as CANON thats not commented on the show, proven in the show, shown in the show or Spin Offs.
There is no canon when itcomes to this, except in Angels entire existence, you have he dresses well and a comment Spike makes that doesnt actually say anything conclusive.

Thirdly, Drusilla and Darla were in the same bed after the event. They may have been their during, but not once does it say they at anytime touched each other, pleasured each other or anything of the sort.
In reunion, as well, did they kiss each other passionately, did we see them enjoy any form of sexual intercourse, did they at all say something like, 'hey remember that time we...ya know'? No.

Your arguments are based on weak supposition, from some mild references.

No, these characters were not Gay or Bisexual, i'd say the Vampire in them made them sexually liberated, thus allowing them to show 'affection' of this nature BUTthat does not amount to conclusive proof.

Gah I had a whole comment that got deleted"¦

Anyway

Threesome = all parties involved. Then they bathed together.

Canon, umm okay yeah Angelus ACTING bi (kinda gay) isn't proof? The statement was off hand anyway (why am I still posting???)

Oh and Joss actually said that Spike and Angel DID have sex in hole in the world's commentary, if you are still doubting that is canon.

He said no such thing. He asked the question. "Do we believe all this time and they never did it? Come on.."
Or words to that effect. He was teasing the audience. While I think this thread is all in fun, does anyone honestly believe Angelus would bang a guy? Come on, its just not logical.

Still doesnt mean THEY had relations while he pleasured them both.
The ONLY facet from that scene about it is that he had them concurrently, BUT that does not say he had them while they had each other.
Threesome means three parties enjoy it at the smae time, DOESNT mean they have to play all sides....two heterosexual guys were with one woman, that is still a threesome, and she is pleasuring both man at the smae time, however these two men wouldnt touch each other sexually.
Until the DVD Special Edition deleted scenes show otherwise, you cannot prove they sexually enjoyed each other.

Like has been pointed out, Joss didnt confirm it, he teased it, as he has teased many many things about the show, fact is, his words can no longer be taken as canon until the end up on film or in print, as he often makes ludicrous comments....
So with all that, i can say, there is no evidence to prove any of these characters were Gay or Bisexual.

In the tone of the thread, it would have been fun if there had been a little more in the did they or didnt they thing.

Dia DeLa Muerte, do you know anything about "subtext"? It was hinted that Angelus and William [Angel and Spike] had sex. What is the big deal about it?

Yes i do know about subtext, but 1 single line of commentary and a a fashion sense does NOT equate to Angel/us being Gay or Bisexual.
IF there was any true credence to this then the joint 12 years of the show that were on Air, 11 of which involved both parties and a HELL of a lot of backstory, would substanciate this theory......all you people have done is tried to make a loaf of bread from one grain of wheat.....

I have no issue with Spike and Angel/us having sex, my issue is that there is NO conclusive proof to suggest they ever even held hands let alone do the 'single man train', yet people in here are taking the little grain they have and suggesting its all they need.

No, you need to use FACTS to bring forth a worthy argument, not an idea based on nothing really.

Well I agree with DDM, I think that they may have had gay tendencies but it doesn't necessarily mean they were Gay. Also I don't get why you are having a go about the Dru and Darla thing. It never was stated in any of the episodes that they had sex With Each Other. Yes they took part in a threesome, but unless they actually touched each other or pleasured each other I don't think we can say that they were Gay! It is possible to have a threesome with a guy and two girls and nothing happen between the girls!

Back onto the topic of the thread, I don't think that Angelus and Spike were Gay, and the comment "Guess I don't have to worry about that, 'cause Angel and me have never
been intimate. Except that one..." doesn't necessarily have to mean that they had sex. I think perhaps they may have experimented as young vampires, but when I think back to the flashbacks that we see in Angel and Buffy of their relationship, I just find it really difficult to see them actually having an intimate moment. They always seemed to hate each other!

Anyway that is just my take, I do ramble!

Yeah, Back in the day, when the attended Vampire College, experimentation not true desire....lol...they are as Gay as Arnold Swartzeneggar and the Pope.....
Yeah I think that could be a factor. I mean Vampires aren't supposed to be able to fall in love, so manogamy isn't an issue for them as they don't care if they hurt someone.

So why not the same theory for Sex!

Makes sense!!
As long as sexy Angel is not gay, I dont care about angelus being gay...I want the vision of angel and buffy, not angel and spike, but angelus and spike....ok I still pass, but hey what can ya do?!
