Angelus - evil looooove?

::bbat::Angelus. Possibly the best villain the show ever had. He went all the way, and he loved it!
But I came to think: Angelus has some affection towards Buffy.
I don't know what. But do recall him always calling her nicknames. Loving ones. Af first I was a little "he's-teasing-her" like, but later on, I just can't help thinking that Angelus somehow loved Buffy(In his own psychopatic vamp way). He seems like he really wants her dead, but not dead anyway. He loves taunting her. Much more delightful than snapping her neck. He goes all the way, just to pressure her, and when the close-ups come of the lurking Angelus, he seems turned on by Buffy fighting for her life. Thise could also be that he just loves the struggle for life that will eventually be killed. I have no idea. I am torn between the fact that he either loves her, or just loves seeing her fighting for her life, when he knows it's pointless.
Help me decide 😉::bbat::
 
The interaction between Angelus and Buffy was complex... and really great to watch. But I think he was just being evil Angelus-style, Giles read in the books this is the way he kills... I think he was just in love with the action and the idea of making someone really crazy, like he did with Dru.

IMO Angelus' "affection" for Buffy at that point in the series, was his way of showing how much he did NOT love her. It's like waving candy in front of a baby, it's there...It looks good...But you can't have it. He gets his kicks from the devastation on her face when he plays nice. Much like Dru, if she had been any weaker a woman- he would have driven her mad...
 
I don't think Angelus really could love, especially a human girl like Buffy (and it was even said that he never loved Darla).
Though Spike and Dru proved that vampires can love quite well, I think Angelus was just too vicious. Like, when the Judge was there, he said he could reek the humanity in Dru and Spike (coming from their love), but he couldn't burn away Angelus. So that should mean that Angelus didn't possess any of the 'good' qualities you need to love.
The thing with Buffy was, he liked to see her suffer. We know Angelus liked to 'play' with his victims, kill everyone around them, drive them mad, and that's what he got off to. And with his usual victims that was already great fun, but Buffy was even more. Like he said, she made him feel like a human being, something not easily forgiven. So I guess he enjoyed every single thing he did to her even more, out of his extreme hate for her. He practically became obsessed with her, and that's what might have made it look like he had some affection for her. But in my opinion it was just that, an obsession, the obsession to bring her down big time. He just hated her with a fierey passion.
 
I don't think Angelus loved Buffy; if you said that, you could also argue that he loved Drusilla. I think he was completely obsessed with how much he hated her. If he just wanted her dead, he would have tried to snap her neck and run. Instead, he wanted to make her suffer as much as possible. In fact, I almost think that, if he hadn't found Acathla, not only would the torture have gotten much worse, but he also would have turned her into a vampire because he knows that's the one thing Buffy hates and fears the most.
 
I can never believe that Angelus loved Buffy...there is no way...only Angel loved Buffy...but still...Angelus had an obsession with Buffy because she was the one who made Angel feel human!I am certain he wanted to see her suffer and he hated her but maybe he had a passion for her...not love...just passion,fixation,obsession...i don't know how to express this well...i mean when i was watching "Passion" and i saw him in her room caressing her hair...just looking at her while she was sleeping...he had a chance to kill her but he didn't. Sometimes i believe that if he had managed to defeat Buffy he would ultimately turn her to a vampire...but i am not sure

Also Angelus whenever he makes an appearance in either show,he totally dominates the scene...he is sadictic,sarcastic,truly evil and all these combined with Boreanaz's looks sometimes make him so sexy in my eyes!
 
I think he was obsessed with her. Angelus hates when someone makes him feel like a human, and Buffy did that. Buffy brought out best of him, best of Angel I mean. Aneglus shared memories with Angel, he shared his body and he knew how Angel loved Buffy, and that was a problem with him. He hated how much he loved her, but he couldn't let is go, he couldn't destroy her so he decided to destroy the world.. and Buffy is in it. I think he couldn't forget how much Angel loved her and that feeling burned him inside, so with a lot of passion Buffy became him obsession.
