I don't know exactly who... but, if I recall correctly, I heard about that process while listening to a commentary for a Futurama episode. Something about how they had a guest star signed on, but the guest star was tied up on the other side of the country so they just did it over the phone? They probably meant that the guest star taped it, then they beamed the audio over. I don't know.
 
I'm not sure that I heard right but I think Joss is talking about Firefly or Buffy coming back to TV

I hope this is new news... I don't really know where else to search for it. Anyway, I was looking at the Bones season 4 DVD listing on [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Bones-Complete-Fourth-David-Boreanaz/dp/B001L1S1OY/ref=pd_sim_b_82"]Amazon[/ame] and here's the breakdown of the discs (well the very top of it, anyway).

My interpretation of that little thing is that something is in the works, and there will be a preview of it (whatever "it" is) by October 6. It's probably still in very early production, but at least seeing that it's going to have a trailer in 2 months--that rules. I'm still hoping against motion comics; very much in favor of an actual cartoon series. I love cartoons!

I have a feeling its motion :(
I'd love it to be an actual animated deal but if it's just stop motion, I'll pass.
 
The soon-ness of it makes me think motion-comics.. then again, it could be a teaser for a regular animated series. Movies always get really early teasers with basically nothing in them.

And after all, the word "adaptation" makes me think regular animation. The use of "adaptation" for a motion comic is stretching the definition of the word; after all, motion-comics is just putting sounds and a little bit of movement to pictures, it's hardly "adapting" it to anything. Watchmen as a movie = adaptation. Watchmen as motion comics = motion comics. If it was a trailer for a motion-comic, I have a feeling they'd have said so... right?

Lol I love how we're desperately trying to make it sounds like an animated series.

Anyway, I'm with you! Why would I want to watch what I've already read on screen? =/
 
Yeah but adaption probably is meant towards the show instead.

BUT what Joss said at comic-con about the returning show could mean Buffy.
 
Marvel Comics were doing "motion comics" back in the mid-60's with the Hulk, Thor, etc.

They were cheesy even then. But by today's standards, with how far animation has come...

I don't think I'd spend money for this, even for Buffy. A casual fan in his bedroom with a laptop can generally produce better than a "motion comic."
 
Depending on the budget, I don't think they'd have much trouble getting Alyson, Nick, Tony, Eliza, Tom, and Seth on board for this.

Sarah is probably a no, as usual, and Michelle might be questionable.

Elizabeth Anne Allen and Adam Busch should also be gettable.

I nominate Maurissa Tancharoen for the voice of Satsu.

He could record all his lines in about 2 hours in his home studio, stick the sound files in a folder on the net for the producers to grab, and he's done.

Depending on whether those two have enough lines in the season to bother with... I think James would be up for it. Don't know about David.

The thing about cartoon voiceovers in they're such easy money, and such an easy way to make the fans ecstatic. The only reason not to do it is because you just don't want to be involved, or you think the production is subpar (e.g., a motion comic.)

Than Amber could do that too I guess for her line "I still blame you"(if they're gonna do the 3 page comic)since they are dating.
I most definitley cannot wait to hear Anthony and Eliza do their scenes in V2 cause volume 2 is my favorite arc so far plus just hearing Faith and Giles again is gonna be amazing.
