I don't know if i've already started a topic on this...but I was wondering if anyone here reads anything by Anne Rice? i've read most of the Vampire Chronicles and i'm reading Pandora right now, its really good.
 
I've Read, Queen Of The Damned and Tale Of The Body Thief, started to read the one after that but soon lost interest for some reason, I'm not a big fan of books 😛 but when the urge to read takes over... I read 🙂
 
i read, Interview, Lestat, QoTd, Memnoch, body theif, Armand, and i'm now reading Pandora. I also go this books from the library thats a "offiial guide to the vampire chronicles", its a huge book, and its really cool. I also am going to read Blood and gold and Blackwood farm, but i'm waiting for them to come it at the libabry.

what did you guys think of thei movies? Interview and QotD?
 
Big fan of Anne Rice here. I've read nearly everything she's done except for the "Witch" Chronicles, "Armand The Vampire"and the "Sleeping Beauty" trilogy, of which I am currently in the middle of reading. I am in big agreement with everyone here, Anne Rice is amazing!
 
The early (first three) Vampire Chronicle books are great, and deserve all the attention that gets lavished on them.

I think her best books are her Sleeping Beauty trilogy. She originally wrote them using a pseudonym, I guess because they're so very naughty. But they're also amazing. Read them with a cold shower handy.
 
yeah, theres alot of well things that go on between Armand and Marius in "The Vampire Armand" I havn't read the Sleeping beauty trilogy or the witch ones, the 1st one is just so long that i'm don't have time
 
I've read the whole Vampire Chronicles. I can't believe she's going to be ending it. I'm hoping she's going to do a QotD type of thing, and have all the characters in it

The titles should pretty much clue you in on the subject. It's a very naughty retelling of the sleeping beauty fairy tale. Heavy emphaiss on Dom/Sub.
 
yeah, i really liked QoTd w/ all the characters, it was good. The movie was awful though compared to the books
 
One page 38 of Interview, but it's a bit ... yawn, so far. I have the other books aswell.
 
Yeah Willow03, the QOTD wasn't nearly as good as the book (is anything ever as good as the book?).

Although since I expected the movie to be excruciatingly horrendous, I can say that it wasn't as bad as I was prepared for it to be. I suspect that I would have enjoyed it quite a bit if I hadn't read the book.
 
I enjoyed the movie, ofcourse they weren't going to fit EVERYTHING in there, was a bit miffed that the Blood God didn't get in but Claudia Black as Pandora made it all worth while... wonder if there'll be a movie of that there Pandora Booky 🙂
 
i don't know...i was looking if one of the books and it said something about a witching hour movie that was out? Have anyof you heard anything about that ever?

yeah, QoTd i think would've been a good movie if i hadn't read the book, but they just left so much out, and changed alot too, like Lestat being made by MARIUS? what was that? anyway, it was frusterating...but i liked the music...lol
