Minus the money for gas.... OK!

::looks around nervously.:: I have 175 dollars! Is that enough to get a marriage annuled?

it depends on what church ya go to...marriage right?...i know it is of no use, but its $236 in Arizona. plus court costs and stuff. I think a bigger worry with annulments is proving that it wasn't really real in the first place....

Huh? I'm worried... why do you need to get an annulment anyway? Did you go get married on a drunken spree? :/

faiths5x5 - what if it was one of those crappy "here's 20 dollars, marry me" places?

uh...hm...sign any legal docs?...i'm not sure if an annulment is a legal thing too...i thought twas divorce and then church gave annulments but i'm no expert....hm...i think with the church tho, the biggest prob, is proving it wasn't a marriage anyway....of course, the more money you have, the easier that is. sorry. its corrupt. i...*sighs* hafta work on that eh?... well...it depends on what ya signed and how you went bout getting into it. i hafta go check on the church/state anulment...i know divorces are usually expensive...but....hm...going to look...gluck with this...in nj right?...cuz affects the proceedings and such.......

Q. Can I apply for an Annulment instead of a divorce?
A. In a divorce, the court declares the marriage contract broken; in an annulment, the court says that there never was a marriage. Annulment is more difficult to prove - and much rarer - than divorce. To go this route, it is strongly advised that an attorney be consulted. Out of the great many people who have consulted with our offices on the possibility of obtaining an annulment over the years, only three had sustainable grounds. If an annulment is sought for religious reasons, consult with a priest, minister, or rabbi as well.

Just because a New Jersey Court grants your Compliant for Annulment ( Nullity ), does not mean your religious faith will recognize the Annulment.

still looking....any help yet?

A court will only annul a marriage under certain circumstances, otherwise you have to go through the divorce route and in most cases wait a year before you can do so. I know thats certainly the case over here.

Hey hun, not 100% sure but in Canada, an annulment can only usually be done through the church, which means after you get your divorce legally (through the courts), you can get re-married in a church.

It is really difficult to get an annulment, my ex-husband and I tried and they wouldn't agree even though we weren't married long at all and we both wanted it. So we had to go through courts and split the stuff like our house etc even though I didn't want any of it (apparently it's the law that things like the home are split).

I know it's not the same situation, but I have been through a divorce and all, so if you want to chat or vent feel free to PM me! I hope that everything works out ok hun!
