Another Derailment in Ohio

This one in Springfield. Same company, Norfolk Southern, and similar issues regarding relaxed safety regulations.

Luckily nobody was hurt and apparently no one will be hurt (no chemicals, apparently) but this is insane. Not a month out from the disaster in East Palestine and it happens AGAIN.

It's lucky this one had no toxic chemicals on it. There absolutely has to be an accounting of that company (and they're probably not the only ones cutting safety corners). I suppose there will be a Congressional investigation, but probably nobody will go to prison.

It's not actually that uncommon. From 2005 - 2021 the USA averaged almost 1500 derailments a year. Ohio just has us paying more attention to them.
