Another Newbie..

Hey JuniorWatcher! I love the username, much more original than mine...

I'm new here, too, only been about a few days. But I can assure you, I'm loving it, everyone's so friendly and there are some great discussions! You'll fit right in here.

Well, when I first got one season, I think it was Season 5, I watched all but the last few episodes in a day. It was disappointing, getting that close but not quite getting there. I also am more of the person you just watches from the the beginning to the end. But theme nights sound great, I'd like to try that sometime!

Anya's a brilliant character, a close second to my favourite character, Spike. Everytime I hear her speech in The Body I find tears in my eyes! She can always give me a good laugh, and I love how she's so honest.

I haven't watched all of Angel yet, I only have Season 1. However, we've been paying of a lay-by and next Thursday I should have Seasons 2, 3, 4 and 5! Sometime next week I should be getting all the Season 8 comics which are out, too, which will be great. Are you reading them?

My favourite seasons would probably be Season 2 and 5. Such a hard decision though, they're all brilliant!

Anyway, it's great to meet you! I look forward to getting to know you on the forums!
 
Welcome, Faye! I hope you have a good time here. I'm sure you'll be drawn out of your shell in no time. Like everyone else has said, we're a fairly shell-free bunch. Also, I'm jealous of your Buffy Saturdays. I can't get any of my real life people into Buffy. You're so lucky!

Even though you have been on the boards for a few days il still say Welcome 🙂, Iv been serching my way around Buffy board and it relly is so great to see so many other Buffy/Angel fans and knowing I can discuss my obsession with others also helps 😛

You'll love all of the Angel seasons, my fav season of Angel has to be seson 5, but as you make your way through them im sure you'll find a fav.
must admit as much as I love Angel, Gotta love Buffy more 😛

Iv only got Issue's 1,2 and 3 of the Angel comics.. Also a few Buffy comics but I cant remember where Im up too 😛.. its hard to find a place where I live that does them, luckily good ol Forbidden planet never lets me down, its even got some Buffy merch in there atm, which id love to buy but funds are low atm lol!

the best advice I can give you is keep hinting at them, took me 2 weeks to recruit my best friend into wtching Buffy, now he's hooked, iv also got another friend who did like Buffy but once it finished stopped, and hasent watched it for years, of course I gave her a 'Tut Tut' and said id work on getting her back as a Buffy fan 😛 wish me luck eh 😀

I know I keep saying it but again thanks for all the lovely welcomes 🙂

Yes, the forums are great! None of my friends have even tried Buffy, and tend to get a bit bothered when I start raving about it. I might try using the advice you gave Palabra to try to get them to watch some. Two of my older siblings like Buffy, particularly my sister, so it's great to catch up with them, as well as my little brother Jacob, who just joined the boards today. I've gotten my parents to watch some, and they enjoy it, but they forget what happened in each episode about 10 seconds after the watched it...

I look forward to seeing the Angel. My sister watched some of it, but said she never enjoyed it much. She thinks that what she saw didn't have nearly so much depth as Buffy. However, I enjoyed the first season enough, though I love Buffy a lot more!

I might pursue the Angel: After the Fall comics after I've watched the rest of the TV seasons, but I don't know how soon. I haven't started reading the Buffy comics, but will just as soon as I recieve them in the mail next week! Yes, I live in a small country town, and they closest place I've heard of that sells them is two hours away in Melbourne, so we found mine on eBay.
