Another returning character

Similar to the Cyrus/Andrew post, I've noticed another actress whose played 2 characters. Kali Rocha who played Cecily, the lady who rejects Spike before he's turned into a vampire in the episode Fool for Love also returns as Halfrek, a vengeance demon and friend of Anya's.
 
I wish they would have elaborated more as to how she became a vengeance demon. That would've been a cool story...I liked Anya's. Especially the derivation of the Buffy phobia 😀
 
I would've liked to know that too..
There are a lot of those characters who only appear in a few episodes but they are really interesting and you want to know more about them..

I can imagine Anya backing away from Buffy all scared.

Anyway yeah Halfrek and Cecily were the same. Do you think Spike got sired then killed all of Cecily's friends and family etc and Cecily wreaked vengence on...everyone (was going to say Spike but then he'd be dead or a frog or something).
 
Imagine in Tabula Rasa, Anya magicing a lot of Buffys instead.

Anyway that was off topic. But yeah I am intrigued about the Cecily becoming Halfrek thing, and the reason for the name.
 
Why d'Hoffryn chose that name.. don't know..
I was actually sad when Halfrek died, not that I really liked her a lot or anything, but she was an interesting character and was in quite a lot of episodes..

Really? I'm currently in the process of watching them all in chronalogical (sp?) order on DVD so that hasn't happened yet.

But I guessing that Cecily was chosen to be a vengeance demon cos she had no compassion.
 
Yes they are one and the same - character that is.

I also would have liked to have more back-story on Hallie.

Possible spin off topic there of vegence demons 😉

Going back to when Halfrek and Anyanka were demons though. Not picking up after the Buffy finale.

They never talk about Hallie's days as Cecily (i think..?)but you can notice when Spike and Hallie meet that they recognise eachother and have a past..
 
I think hallie/cecily was already a vengence demon when she met william according to the timeline and what ya see in the s7 episode "selfless"

I don't think there was anything in the timeline to prove either way. In Selfless, the only flashback Halfrek was in St. Petersburg in the early 1900's, Spike would've known Cecily in the 1870's-1880. She most likely would've become a demon after that.
 
She was class, I wish we got to see more of her but what we did was nifty.
