Article Anthony Stewart Head cast as the next Doctor

Evil! 😛 I'm watching DW for the first time right now and you got me for a second- I was about to excitedly post on my friend's facebook about this!

It's true, ASH was in School Reunion from Season 2. But tons of actors have been cast in previous episodes and have come back to play another role. Even one of the Doctors, Colin Baker, was on Doctor Who as Commander Maxil in Arc of Infinity before he was cast in the title role a year later.

Nicholas Courtney, who was more famous from his role as the Brigadier, played Bret Vyon in 4 episodes from the 1st Doctor's era.

Also, Lalla Ward played both Princess Astra in one season finale, and then came back as Romana in the next season's premiere.

Sooo... yes, ASH has been in Doctor Who, but they've definitely used actors to play more than one character before on the show. 🙂

My 1st thought was that would be weird since Matt Smith is sooo young. No, I wouldn't want ASH to be the next Doctor.

In the past the doctors have always been older then 14, and I would swap my first born child to see ASH playing The Doctor. He really would be excellent in it. I used to be a huge Doctor Who fan but Matt Smith has kind of put me off, not to mention the fact that they seem to be writing the show for 8 year old children (I know they always did, but it definitely used to be scarier).

I adore John Simm! I hope they bring him back one more time as the Master for a regeneration scene... because you know they have to bring the Master back at some point. 😉
