Who do you think was the better vocalist in the Buffyverse?

Andy Hallett

Anthony Stewart Head

Christian Kane

James Marsters

They're all incredible. Thinking about the episodes where their voices are featured, it's hard not to pick any one of them. However, judging from Christian Kane being a professional singer who's released a few (really good) albums, I have to go with him.

"L.A. Song" is an incredible part of Angel.

I love Andy's voice, in fact I love all their voices, but Tony has the best. He's been a professional singer both on-screen and off for several years and have you heard him sing in "Repo"?

Tony Head easily, just look at all the films and stage shows.
Repo! The Genetic Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar to name a couple, anyone ever heard of the stage show Hair!
Then there's the voice over work in the Dr. Who explanatory series, not to mention the several other episodes.
And by the way The Thirst Evil, he has been singing for well over twenty years.

Indeed he has, I know he was in Rocky Horror in about 1990 or thereabouts

I love Repo!
If Amber had been on the list she would have been my first choice her voice is so underused

Im hopeing one day she puts out an album

I'm such a fan of ASH's voice! He blows me away every time I hear him. I like Christian Kane's voice a lot, too, but I like ASH's better/

I love them all for different reasons.

Andy had a soothing, calming voice.

ASH has a soothing voice that could bring roughness out at the same time in a really unique and exciting (and sexy) way

James has a rough voice that just excites me beyond belief (in every way)

Christian has one of my favorite voices in country music...

For me, it's definitely Anthony! Closely followed by Andy.
Christian is also a pretty good singer and James has a great voice, but their technique - especially James' - isn't as good as Anthony's or Andy's, in my opinion.
Could we maybe make a poll out of this?

Gah! What a hard choice. I think they're all great in their own way. Commercially, I would have to say James because his genre of music is more what I'm into. But both Tony and Christian have amazing voices and I remember being blown away when I first heard them sing (on BtVS and AtV respectively) and Andy was brilliant too.

It's a tough choice between Andy Hallett and Anthony Head- the two of them have very different voices, but I'd definitely put the two of them at the top.

In fairness to Christian Kane and James Marsters, they only got one song each on their respective shows (unless we count Spike singing "My Way" in Lover's Walk), whilst AH and ASH got several songs in which to show off their talent. And going by "Rest In Peace" only, whilst I really enjoyed the song, I felt that James's voice was weaker than the other three mentioned. Possibly due to trying to keep up the accent for parts of the song.
