Anti Ships

Fred/Wesley - I hated them. Yes, hated. Although, I have trouble articulating why. I think a big part of it is because of how Gunn and Wesley's friendship deteriorated; unfair as it may be, I always blamed Wes for that.

Kennedy/Willow - Kennedy's bitchiness rubbed of on Willow a little to much for my liking.

Connor/Jasmine Cordy - Why?Why?Why?

I don't get Wesley/Fred either!

Yay someone else who doesn't like Fred/Wesley!!
Cordelia/Connor Yuck. Just gross.
Buffy/Spike They bothered me. I feel like I like them so much more as friends, but I shutter when they touch or something. They're just...bleh.
Willow/Kennedy She was such a bitch. She didn't love Willow for who she truly was. She was so childish about everything. She needed to grow up.
Willow/Tara They were in love, and they were sweet, but I just love Willow/Oz so much...I can't stand watching them. But they are cute, so they're not as bad as the others.
Willow/Xander This should never have happened.
Buffy/Riley I think Buffy kind of needed him in some way for a short period of time, but I hate them so much together. They just don't work.
Angel/Cordelia Ew. Ew. Ew. They've always had such an amazing friendship and it was completely ruined with romance.
Cordelia/Wesley That was just disgusting. Need I say more?

AND THE WORST OF ALL.......

Angel/Nina SHE WAS LIKE A LITTLE GIRL WITH A DAMN FIRST GRADE CRUSH. I can't stand her, and I'm sorry but I really don't think he liked her that much. I think he wanted some or someone and she was just available. I believe he liked her as a friend and tried for more but just didn't feel it. It was painful watching her beg (like the dog she is). EWWWWWWWWW.

My favorite ships are Spike/Buffy, Angel/Cordelia, Wesley/Lilah, Fred/Gunn, and Willow/Tara. I guess my most obvious anti-ships are Buffy/Angel, Cordy/Connor, Fred/Wesley, and Tara/stray bullet.

The thing about Bangel and Spuffy though, is that in canon they're never challenged by each other. I don't know if I would call them anti-ships in canon, but in fandom they certainly are. Mostly cause a lot of us shippers are so sure about our ideal endgames, lol.

Cordy/Connor is barely a ship to me. It's weird. I can completely understand Connor falling in love with Cordelia, but Cordelia even slightly returning his feelings (even when she was confused and had lost all her memories) is really off to me.

Gah. Fred/Wesley is a two-for-one package. Heh. I LOVE Fred/Gunn and Wesley/Lilah, but I really dislike Fred/Wesley for its own reasons too.

The obvious anti-ships to Willow/Tara are quite Willow-centric, I've realized. And since I'm really not a Willow-centric fan and my interest in Willow/Tara is focused a bit more on Tara than Willow, I went a slightly less traditional route. Oh, Tara. 🙁
I was thinking about it a bit more though, and I wonder if Willow/Tara could be considered its own anti-ship? I really like the ship in Season 4 and 5, and it's Season 6 and Willow's increasingly dangerous and entitled behavior that I think dooms the ship.

Interesting point on Willow/Tara. That's what bothers me the most about Conner/Cordy. She seems interested in him even when she's confused and lost her memories which is really off to me.
Hm, I think my only real anti-ship would be Cangel. I can see a point in or at least tolerate all others. Well maybe not Lindsey/Eve. But I'm more or less indifferent to them together, I just really dislike Eve. 🙂

(oh and I totally ship Angel+hairgel. I don't care if it's abusive, it's got my support 😉)

It's funny how I anti-ship very few relationships in these shows...

Willow and Kennedy-How can you not hate them?

And...

Jasmine/Cordelia and Connor-This goes without saying.

Fred and Wes-Didn't use to. But when Wes said that he'd loved her BEFORE HE'D EVEN MET HER, I hated them.

Kennedy/Willow = Train Wreck

Did you know that Kennedy was married to him before Willow? (in real life, of course)

Yes I remember that. Then she dated a woman for a while. Now she's married with a baby I think.
Connor/Cordelia - I mean it was just disgusting on sooo many levels.
Willow/Kennedy - Hated. Hated. Hated.
Cangel - I didn't think they were a good match. I expected Cordelia to hook up with Wesley.
Willow/Xander - I felt like their accidental kiss was as far as it should have gone. I mean it just caused unneccesary drama, and it ended like all of a sudden. After episode of them trying to stop but couldn't, then after they get caught it's like all of the feelings go away.

I'm not really against any ship, there's a few that I didn't really understand why they happened. Willow/Xander - although I guess they needed to break up Xander/Cordelia so she could go onto Angel. Willow/Kennedy - I think Willow should of stayed on her own that season.

Bangel. A million times Bangel. (Would probably not even have made "honorable mention" material if Joss hadn't completely sold out by bringing the Bad Hair Dude back after "Becoming"... but he did, and boy did the ship from hell get ever worse from there.)

Also, Killow (even though I'm one of the minority who likes Kennedy... just not with Willow. Too much, too forced, too fast, too soon.)

Do I even need to mention Biles? Because, indeed, just... no. A most aptly named ship for fanwankers who might want to seek professional help, tyvm. 😛

I used to anti-ship this too. But, after some careful reflection I realized that they didn't really matter that much to warrant my hatred. That relationship was just a stepping stone for both of them to get where they needed to be.

Luckily, for me, I don't see the comics as canon.

Olivia

I really dislike Giles/Olivia.
Jenny was my favorite character, and when Olivia first appears (pantless, no less!)
I was just like, "What?!"😱

Buffy/Riley- There just wasn't anything there. Their relationship just seemed blank.
Willow/Kennedy- For all the obvious reasons.
Buffy/Satsu- I just couldn't stand that crap. They were so wrong for each other, that it became stinky.

Willow/Kennedy- I mean, come on. It was like watching yeast rise.

Willow/Tara - I'm not COMPLETELY anti-ship. Yeah, they were actually the reason I was slightly intrigued by Buffy (a teenager with hormones, I tell you), but then I ran into other fans of them and it kind of killed it for me. That, and I feel the relationship was toxic for both characters. I feel as though Tara really didn't have a reason to go back to Willow and should've gotten herself a better girlfriend. I can only enjoy them in Season 4 (except NMR), and half of Season 5.

Spike/Buffy - I think this was toxic and didn't have the same levels of intensity that Bangel did. Though I understand why Buffy wanted him.

Spike/Buffy --> Hate them. With a passion. Why? Because Spike doesn't strike me the kind of vampire who would fall in love with a Slayer. Of course, since they ruined him to fit into their delusional Spuffy fantasies, I suppose it works now.

All others, I can tolerate. Well, actually, I can't tolerate seeing Spike paired with anyone else besides Drusilla and vice versa.

All other ships are completely tolerable though.

I generally don't get Spangel and Spander (although I know my good friend spikecakes would disagree) for no other reason than I find it pretty unrealistic.
