Anti-Spike Group

The biggest thing that I hated about Spike was the treatment that he had to endure after the chip, and the fact that, because of it, he was unable to properly defend himself, especially against Riley in season 5. A lot of what Riley did to Spike towards the end was just plain bullying and frustration venting. Just once, chip/migraine and all, Spike should have decked Captain Cardboard, and I still hope to see it either in "Buffy Season 8," or in "Angel:ATF."

I know that that's not really what you meant about what I don't like about Spike, so...he should have polished his boots once in awhile. Towards the end of Season 7, they were getting kinda ragged looking. And I never really liked that black nail polish, and, just to save James the scalp pain, he should have gone back to his natural hair color after a couple of seasons. He's the only one on the show who didn't change his hair style at least once. (Well, maybe him and Giles)

I have mixed feelings about Spike coming back from the dead. It makes for funny conflict with Angel which, yeah, I totally dig. Other than that, though, it seems kind of pointless when his arc sort of ended in a blaze of glory during "Chosen." Now he just seems sort of... I don't know... superfluous?

As much as I like Spike, I think he should have stayed gone.

lol i like your post :D hehe
see I'm in a weird position 'cause I LOVE the character of Spike before he went and got all useless mopey puppy in love with Buffy, I personally think that could have been done SO much better, but it jsut made him all useless.

so the stuff I don't like is all the inappropriate stuff with Buffy, then the sexy stuff once she was up for it, and then the attempted RAPE for chrissakes I really wasn't a big fan of that

But Spike the evil and hot and mastermind-y villain with the evil naughty hotness with Druscilla was ALL good.

Spike's treatment of Harmony. As well as Spike saying that Wood's mother didn't love him. Spike not calling Buffy to tell her he was back. Hated these.

I agree.. That's about all the negative that can apply to Spikey.
Oh my God, are we know having anti threads all over the Boards?

Well, I didn't care much for Spike, he's okay, didn't really hate him or anything.
And of course I liked the Spuffy action.

I LOVE Spike S2-5 before his infatuation with Buffy totally over came him. I also liked him in the first few episodes of S6 but after they became offical in their own sense I couldnt stand him from that point on. He revolved around Buffy way to much. And well we just saw to much of him in S6-7 compared to some other charecters who needed the lime light. He was ok in Angel but I think Spike has over stayed his welcome for now.

hahah love the banner want it tooo!!
What i don't like about Spike is that he's not in season eight.........(yet).................(i hope)

C'mon, people, Spike isn't a saint. He's far from it. Give real reasons. 🙂 I know it's hard to say the flaws or the wrong deeds your favorite character did, but consider it a challenge.

Spike is surely a favorite character of mine. But he did some things I disliked. Like his treatment of Harmony, even after he got a soul. The way he talked to Wood about his mother. Not telling Buffy he was alive. Going for the shanshu.

That he and Faith never got to have at least a wild, sweaty, passionate moment together. (Well, a little more than a "moment." More like a wild weekend in Las Vegas.)

The one thing I disliked about Spike was his whole S7 arc. It was SO boring... I think that was also the one 1 arc I didn't like too

Only ONE thing that I didn't like about Spike.

He NEVER diddled Faith. 🙁 There should have been some serious diddling going on there. And then Buffy & Faith could have FOUGHT over him in S-7. :nana: Heh. 😉

ON EDIT... OMG, White Avenger! - I didn't even READ your response before I posted mine! - How scary do we think alike?? :cool07:

I agree, S7 Spike was kind of meh...
Also, that whole attempted rape thing. I understand his whole frustrated-ness but that scene is difficult to watch.

That's kinda what Joss was trying to get at wasn't he? Spike was addicted, and this was what he though would be the one thing that would work.

Also, J. Marsters comments (I think it's on his website) that he was "terrified" and he hated filming that scene.

Going for the shansu? Really? Color me shocked. I LOVED that. I didn't give a fig about his "Boo hoo; I'm a ghost" arc or his "Boo hoo; I'm going to Hell" arc. But I sat up and took notice whenever he and Angel interacted in any way -- and especially when they fought over the shanshu. Someone needed to challenge Angel's authority and his certainty. It was important for Angel's character growth. Speaking of Spike's character growth, someone needed to help him find a path and a purpose for his new, souled existence. Because of their complicated and longstanding relationships with one another, I thought these two boys made perfect character foils. I mean, I know I think he should have died and stayed dead after Chosen, but... if he had to come back, I think having him challenge old Alpha Male Angel's big old superiority complex was quite possibly the best -- not to mention funniest -- use of the character.

I couldn't agree more on all points, the shanshu wasn't specific it very well could have been meant for him, why shouldn't he go after it? Kudos!
