Any Authors About ?

Starting a publishing house isn't as hard as it once was. Still expensive though. Instead of distributing to shops around the world, there's the internet. Pick a certain type of product, such as childrens books, that way people will know what to expect from your web-site. And your company name would / could get known for that.
The stories would be shorter, and there-fore easier to translate, trade restrictions are less, as long as you don't do religious matters.
A business could even be planned from your front room.

Say hello to a fellow rejectee. The worst part is they're so smarmy and businesslike about it. I mean, at least a 'sorry' wouldn't have gone amiss. I think I know where the problem was though, they only read the first ten pages, and my amateurish mistake was making those ten pages too exposition-y.
 
And yet the each page of script equates to ten minutes. What was the first ten minutes of Torchwood like?
It only was accepted cos it's a DR Who spin-off
 
A page of script does not equate to ten minutes. Especially since hour-long shows usually do about 60 or so pages of script for an episode..

It varies of course, but yeah that's about right BB. It can run up to two minutes if that particular page is heavy dialogue....or if we take a sweet time saying our lines! Haha. But yeah, generally it adds up to about one minute. Hence why Buffy, on average, had about sixty-something paged scripts.

It started off at a rounded 45-50 page length from what I've seen on the DVDs. I think as the series progressed they loosened up, put in more details and some inside jokes that upped the page count a bit.

But, in true rejectee style, I am currently writing a screenplay for an idea that I had a long time ago that I think is brilliant. And being rejected helps you to see where you went wrong, even if they don't give comments. So I'm starting this screenplay with a lot more punch.

Illyrian: Yeah, I can't stand Torchwood. Generic TV if I ever saw it, I don't watch television any more because of all of the boring shows like Torchwood.

I haven't done much TV wise if that's what you're wondering- just a few commercials. And I've done a couple of Indie films. Just finished one up in October actually. But I'm a stage actress really so unless you go to the theater A LOT you won't have a clue about the roles I've played. Haha.
