Well just wondering if there are any other gamers out there??

What console do you have and prefer?

Do you have a fav style of games ie;shooters, rpg?

What game are you waiting to be released?

Do you have games that you get sucked into for hours at a time?


me i have the pc and ps3. it depends what game i am playing as to which i play them on pc or ps3, Morrowind and sims are good for the pc, but Oblivion and Assasins creed are best in hd ps3.

i prefer rpg style games

i am waiting for sims3 on feb 20th 🙂

any game i can get sucked into esp Oblivion and the sims 🙂

I guess you could call me a gamer. 😉 I really hate consoles though, only PC for me! I'm mostly into RPGs and MMOs but I can enjoy any type of a game as long as it's good.

The game I'm most looking forward to is Dragon Age by Bioware. They're calling it a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate, which is my second favorite game ever. 😛

In case anyone wondered, Planescape: Torment is the best I've ever played! If you prefer a good story and deep characters over flashy graphics, you definitely should try it.

I just have my PC. I used to obsessively play Sims 2, but I haven't played much recently for obvious reasons.

I have already pre-ordered Sims 3 for February...whether I'll have time to play it is another matter! 😀

At the moment Im playing Mirrors Edge, although I have finnished it, but it was awesome!

Im really looking forward to a game called prototype and the new price of Persia, it looks so pretty!

Very avid PC gamer here (no console for me... I often call myself "gamepad dyslexic", I suck without a mouse & keyboard), actually was pretty much a game addict some years ago, and still play quite a lot nowadays (I guess that's what you get from being a pensioner in your 30s 😉 ).

I used to play mostly GTA-style action-adventure/shooters (and yes, I will sooner or later buy the PC version of GTA 4, too, but with my current 2-year old graphics board it doesn't yet make any sense), but lately I'm more into RPGs, both classic style (Morrowind, Oblivion) and action (Sacred, Titan Quest, Restricted Area).

I also have a ridiculously huge Sims 2 installation waiting still waiting for me to get the DL folder sorted, lol... when I first got into ebay two months ago or so, I bought all of the addons (excluding Apartment Life) I hadn't got yet, and also DLed tons of stuff from the net; haven't had a chance to actually play the game since then, however. 😀

Not meaning to sound cocky (even though i am) but i'm probably the biggest gamer on here. Atm, and i mean i just put it down a few minutes ago not even in sleep mode, i'm playing Pokémon Ranger: Shadow's of Almia which i've been playing non stop since Friday, and waiting to bid on a PSP on ebay and then buy God of War: Chains of Olympus for it

another gamer here. I just completed Gears of War 2 - I love that game!
Am playing devil may cry 4 at the mo and also just brought Left 4 Dead which I just been playing with my other half.

We have an xbox360 , PS3 and a Wii. We got the PS3 free with a mobile phone deal which was a bonus! I also have a nintendo ds but not playing anything currently at the moment.

Love gaming! I've got Wii, PS2, DS and PC.

I used to mostly play RPG/Adventure type games but recently I've expanded horizons to include things like wii sport and singstar. Over the years i've enjoyed Ledgend of Zelda, Tomb Raider, all the Pokemon games, Civilization (i still love that one) and at the moment I'm really into Animal Crossing on DS - i'm very excited about the new Wii version that will be released in a few weeks.
I used to play the Sims in the past but felt it took over my life so it was safer to play the goal oriented story version on PS2 rather than the freeplay mode on the pc - at least you had an objective to achieve and a finish to the game

I like good RPGs : Jade Empire, The original BtVS game and Sudeki are my favourites. I also love The Sims 2

I love games. I don't have as much time for them recently, although I did seriously enjoy Metal Gear Solid 4. Such a nostalgia trip.

My favourites though have to be Final Fantasy VII (and sort of FFIX, though the nostalgia factor is greater for VII), Broken Sword, and Grim Fandango. RPGs and Point-and-click adventures were always the most fun.

I used to be really into The Sims, but then I got a Mac. I've been meaning to get it for Mac for a while, but it's expensive enough for the original game and I know that, if I get it, I'll spend every cent I have on the expansion packs. Maybe I'll ask for a few of the games for Christmas.

As far as console games go, I love RPGs. My all-time favorite game is Fable...I want Fable 2 so much, but my brother took the X-Box 360 and I haven't gotten a new one 🙁 I've also been meaning to get the new Animal Crossing game for Wii, 'cause Animal Crossing games are like adorable, brightly-colored crack.

1st person shooters, RPG's, MMORPG's, strategy, simulations and the odd arcade style game are my favourites. Right now I've got Bioshock, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Football Manager 2009, The Witcher, Warhammer Age Of Reckoning, Half-Life, Day of Defeat original and source editions, Red Orchestra (from Half-Life onward via Steam) installed right now.

My record for playing one game constantly is PGA Tour Golf (1995 edition) for four days straight with my mate. We were so hyped on coffee and pro-plus (caffeine tablets) that we didn't actually sleep for the whole four days and I slept for two days straight when we'd finished!

I'm a hardcore gamer. I had my first console when i was 3 years old, a NES with Super Mario 3. Got my Playstation and got into Final Fantasy and eventually when i got my PS2 i got into my shooters. I got an Xbox and took my skills online on games like Star Wars: Battlefront. I put off buying a 360 as I was waiting for a PS3, I ended up buying the 360 anyway about a year and half back, which was a very smart move on my part.

I spend usually 8-12 hours a day gaming. I own a Xbox 360 and am currently playing Left 4 Dead and Mirror's Edge. Gears of War 2 got so boring the 4th time I went through it, disappointing game. Left 4 Dead is an amazing game just what the online gaming world needed right now IMO.

For all of those people who know gamerscore I clock in with 62,550.

I usually play a lot of online games so usually shooters such as Rainbow Six:Vegas to Gears of War, I hate Halo. I've won numerous gaming competetions in my town at games such as Guitar Hero III in a Guitar Battle Tournament, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2v2 with my friend.

I love gaming that much that I may try to become a professional gamer, failing that Gaming Journalism which I'm already on my way to.

Games I'm looking forward to, FFXIII looks great even though i prefer the good old turn based attack which I still love. Red Faction Guerilla, I love the Red Faction series. Timsplitters was announced a few months back nothing since but I'm hoping that game will be here in the new year. Just a little thing I want, Metal Gear Online, not the game just online, for 360 which would be amazing.

So Clem Rocks, you or I the more passionate gamer? I'll go ahead and say I.

I don't play video games as much as I did when I was younger, almost not at all now. First console I had was this. Up until the Sega Mega Drive was released which I loved.:biggrin: Such great characters. Some of my favourite games though are the Resident Evil series for the original Playstation. Classic cheesiness. I loved the zombies that got stuck walking against the walls and the ones that sounded like they were crying, awww. And the voice acting!

Well you've definatly got more experience playing online (i never have, i can't get Broadband in my area). I've been gaming longer than you though.

^ aww the nostalgia. 🙂 Makes me remember our venerable Atari back in the early 80s - the only console I ever played on, and I completely forgot about that before seeing that pic here! I loved Pitfall (is there any Atari owner who didn't? ^^ ) and, being a little kid back then, I also enjoyed running my little red guy into the blue walls in "Berzerk", just to see him get zapped. :lmao:

Of course, I really enjoyed the "Degenatron!" commercial on the "GTA:Vice City" radio. Probably not too many people around playing VC that actually did start gaming in the age of green dots and red squares, lol!
