Any Gamers out there?

How long did it take you to complete Legend of Zelda: Twilight princess? Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap? Sonic Chronicles? God of War? and Mario 64 DS?

I hate Legend of Zelda games, don't ask why we just never got on. God of War I have played and love but i don't do speed run through's on games the first time i play them, saying that it took my and a friend one night to complete it since we game together a lot, I'd say about 10 ish hours just messing around and drunk 😛

My record for Super Mario Brothers 3 is 20minutes 43secs though 😛 9 minutes of the world record though :'(

I guess your the more passionate classical gamer whereas I think I'm a bigger modern gamer.

I'm an "old school" gamer, meaning I used to play Doom, Dunes, and all those old DOS games in the 90s. Oh and Castle of Wolfenstein.

Now I just play Mini Clips games when I'm not too tired at night.

Well i do say that Sonic 3 & Knuckles is the best game ever and that the 2D graphics on games on handhelds are better than 3D graphics on games on home consoles. And i don't like online games, so i suppose you could call me more classical lol

I did have an old style nintendo 64 whihc was ace! i loved zelda. And i have a playstation for a while whihc only had crash, spyro and resident evil. I got rid of it after a while.

I really,really want an xbox 360, i did have a xbox but i used it to much and it broke (the disc tray wont open!) and i really loved fable! i'm dieing to play fable two but i'd have to buy and xbox 360....and i just couldn't spend that amount at the moment.

I also really,really want a Nintendo Ds I've been researching the different games and they look pretty good. I might by one in the sales...anyone got any good/bad poinhts about them?

I also play the sims 2 occasionally, i love the power! mauhahahah

I used to play runescape quite abit but then i got to a good level it just got boring. Plus i hated my name rabbit53 it was sos tupid but i did join when i was like 13!

I prefer RPG's games like fable and zelda but i also loved the star war games KOTOR, they were ace! shame there not making another.

I find the DS a must have if your out and about or at work lmao... you will always need more stylus things as i'm always loosing them but you can get em on ebay..

I started gaming at a young age with an Atari 2600 and Amstrad 64k computer then moved up to a Mega Drive years later in 1991, been hooked on games all along. Consoles, games and computers have come and gone in this house but I'm still playing.

Even today I've been playing away on my PS2 and DS. And it has to be said that for 17 years I've been a big Sonic the Hedgehog fan. Hence the banner at the moment (Tikal's sacrifice from Sonic Adventure).

Reading all this brings back memories of my gaming days on the old Playstation and Xbox (which I still have haha!)

When I had the Playstation I used to love playing Tomb Raider 2 and 3 although I was petrified of the last level on Tomb Raider 2 with the big dragon haha! Also I used to be addicted to Theme Hospital especially when the receptionist would announce things over the speakers that used to crack me up.

Then I got an Xbox and that was just for the first Buffy game which I loved I managed to complete that in a few weeks of having it. Bummer I sold it but I played it too much and then got Buffy: Chaos Bleeds but found it crap and hard to get a hang of with all the controls changing. I used to be addicted to the snowboarding games as well and then I got Tomb Raider: Legend which I loved... although thats vanished.

Anyway Im now thinking of getting an Xbox 360 or Wii for Christmas plus I really want Tomb Raider: Underworld.

Oh I also I used to love The Sims games, talk about addictive haha!

Thats impressive, most people i know have sold their consoles and lived to regret it (inc me and my Wii).

I wasn't much of a gamer before I met my boy, but now I'm pretty heavily into gaming. I love RPG's and FPS games, I play the MMO Guild Wars, but I'm finding it hard to get into the game. I'm a major COD fan, love playing all the games, me and 3 of my mates have been really getting into the co-op part of COD 5, especially the Nazi Zombie mini game 😛
My boy, is also a massive gamer, so much that he has actually made a gaming event called BLAM (Bendigo Lan and Multiplayer), where I am an admin at, where we bring our comps, Wii's and other consoles and lan over 3 days with mates, and other randoms who show up. So if anybodys interested and are living in the Vic region, let me know 🙂

Also, cant wait for the Sims 3!! 🙂

Anyway, games... love

I'm a fan of rpg's mostly, I started playing seriously because of final fantasy. Before that I dabbled in Mario and Sonic and the like but nothing big...I did own one of those really old NES consoles and a Sega... I miss Sega, Streets of Rage was fun!

I do have a close relationship with my ps2 though, still haven't got round to buying a next gen, but I'm seriously considering buying a Wii soon. I also own a DS (and a gameboy SP... somewhere) So, yeah RPG's or RPG based games mostly (Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Grandia, Shadow Hearts,.Hack series) Although I kinda have a thing for puzzle games too. Katamari Damacy (looooooooove)

And I really like special out of the ordinary things like Ico, Shadow of the colossus and Okami.

Right now I'm playing Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 and I'm really liking that too (despite the HORRIBLE English dub) and I've reacquainted myself with Final Fantasy VI (I'm hoping for a remake of both final fantasy V and VI on the DS like they recently did to FFIV)

As you ca tell I usually game on console and mostly Japanese made games, although my shiny new laptop holds nice possibilities ^^ I used to enjoy the sims,might pick that up again when the sims 3 hits and I play WoW and FFXI.

I used to be a big fan of computer games. I love shooters, well basically WW2 shooters, as they are fun. Further, I love civilization and have played since I'm 4 or 5 😀 It's amazing. I love playing Fifa with my computer. I like roleplaying games and I remember playing one which was awesome. However, I was 7 and played at my aunt's and uncle's computer. Can't remember much about it, but I loved it. Well and then there is obviously the GTA series.

On the console, I've been playing all the FIFA games since 1996. That would be with my good old super nintendo. I loved playing Super Mario Bros.. Over the years I moved up to a Play Station, then to the 2 installment and recently my brother bought himself the Play Station 3 and I quite like it and envy him for it, especially as he is six years younger than me 😀

But I am not really a hardcore gamer. I like playing just for relaxing and trying to get stuff out of my head. Unfortunately, since I've got the internet I also love chatting to people, so my time being able to play has decreased and then there are friends and everything to meet. 24 hours per day are just not enough.

*raises hand* you've got one of the very few hardcore female gamers out here. Ive always had a system growing up (and have them all in the attic, turbographix, atari, genesis, nes, gamecube, n64). I have a wii and just spent $800 on a pc for gaming (and well, my last pc was going to hell) and my brother has a ps3. I consider myself hardcore not in how often i play games (which is ridiculously alot) but because i constantly following gaming news. whats coming out, development, whose buying out who, etc. My boyfriend could not be happier lol. We even met working at Nintendo World here in NYC.

I figure i cannot be the only girl who feels this way, contrary to popular belief, so i want to get into video game journalism and dream of starting a mag here in the US for female gamers, but with an edge. none of this barbie on DS bs, im talking halo, dead space, resident evil, zelda... the good stuff. Iam a journalism major and im finishing after, well, the next 4 weeks lol and i guess i really have a passion for breaking down the stereotype that either girl gamers dont exist, or the ones that do either play old NES games or are ugly goth chicks who can't get a boyfriend (and that last one i quote from a forum, shame on these boys).

I'm also a huge hard core gamer. I'm only 16 so i've started getting system when I was around five, starting with the 64. Now, me and my brother have the nintendo 64, GameCube, Wii, Ds, SEGA, PSP, X-box 360.... and all together we probably have more than a hundred games ( The game cube gets the record for the most games since i have 56 of them)

My favorite game are definetly the horror type, you know resident evil, dementium....

I also love the classic shooter, Halo, Gears of War, and RPG game like final fantasy and of course the classical Zelda and Mario.

It's kind of weird to be a girl gamer because I am such a tomb boy when it comes to do guy thing even though I love girl cloths and all. And I so need soomebody that gets that

I've owned a TRS80 computer as a kid, has this fun game called Dungeons of Dagorth, oh the keys I pounded...

Shortly after that we bought a Nintendo and I fell in love with CastleVania. I've played almost all of them but some of the Game boy titles. (Even Rondo of Blood 😛)

I've owned a super Nintendo, genesis, Playstation, playstation2, and xbox, but no longer have any of them (still have my Buffy games for the box, though)

Now we own a Wii and a couple of DS's and the old dinosaur PC. I absolutely love the virtual console for the Wii. Out of all my gaming rigs the Wii is my favorite and I can still get a Buffy fix on it too, but it's Chaos Bleeds, wish it was the one for Xbox only.

I'm trying to get them (Nintendo) to port some of the prior God awful Buffy games for the gameboy onto the virtual console, just because I think I'd enjoy it.

I favor RPG's and old school platformers, and the mighty Madden. I'm not a huge fan of FPS, admittedly though the Metroid series (post super metroid) sees it's fair share of playing time on the Wii and they are all shooters.

Morrowind has mainly ruined me for other RPG's though; I haven't bought a new Final fantasy in years, way too scripted for my liking. There is something very unique about Morrowinds open ended design that really appeals to me. I'm completely burned out on it anymore though.

I'm hoping this Buffy RPG gets off the ground, thats a structured RPG I could deal with just because I really love the characters and would enjoy RP'ing as them. With it being MMO I'm assuming that you'll be able to make your own characters as well, kinda the best of both worlds, there.

I enjoy gaming, don't do it as much as I use to. I'm no uber gamer though, it's hard to find the free time....not that I'm supremely interesting/ action man...just busy with other stuff 🙂

Well I got Pokemon Diamond yesterday and the first trailer for Sonic Unleashed on TV played last night so I'll be ordering it later haha.
