So far, I've read a bunch of the Buffy novels, but I managed to stumble across a copy of "Dark Mirror", and I'm liking it so far. Does anyone know of any other good Angel novels, besides the one based off the pilot? I know there's more, just thought maybe somebody could give me a push in the right direction.

I pretty much like all the Angel novels - except Not Forgotten because it doesn't make any sense. My favourites are probably Impressions and Fearless, though I agree Dark Mirror is good.

Monster Island is very good, but it's a crossover with BtVS. Still worth a read.

Endangered Species is excellent, one of my all time favorite books.

Unseen Trilogy is, duh, a trilogy of books, but is, again, a crossover with BtVS.

Some of the stories in The Longest Night are good, but a lot of them contradict the show and the canon, and, for some reason, other stories in the book. (It's written sort of like 24, with each separate story taking place in one hour.)

I think I like Monolith, but I can't remember the storyline off the top of my head - I know it had Connor in it, lol.

And there was something about Heat, I think *I* liked it, but I don't think it went down well with the majority of the fandom. It's also another crossover.

I've only read the crossovers with BTVS but they were good. So that's the Unseen Trilogy, Heat, and Mosters Island. There could be more but they are the ones I remember off the top of my head.

I never read any Buffyverse novels and would love to as I love books.

I know it has nothing to do with this thread but I wanted to ask if there are any Cordelia centric novels and if their official?

None of the BtVs/AtS novels are considered 'official', they're all non-canon - glorified fanfic, really.

Saying that, most, if not all, of the AtS novels featuring Cordelia pretty heavily, but I don't recall anything specific. I'd start with 'Monster Island', though, she has a pretty good part in that.

"Haunted" is VERY Cordy-centric and pretty good too. As I read more of the Doyle Novels, I'll let you know. Those are mainly the only ones I havent read.

Haunted and anything written by Doranna Durgin. She only did two of the Angel novels but hers are the best. Brilliantly written.

We should have a poll thread where those who've read the non-canon books can rate them? For example, Monster Island would probably be on the top of the cross-over works I'm taking it?

I dont know if I would be a good judge. It's been YEARS since I've read most of them. I do have them all in my attic... and will be going through them soon when I move..
