The prince of Central park - Evan H Rhodes (just discovered looking for info that there was a movie, I've never watched it, I read the book in 1993 or something but i'd like to know, does anyone saw the movie? it's the diary of a young addicted to drugs girl. It's very moving.

There are others of course, but the list would be way too long.
 
It's hard to recommend books to other people. You just gotta read what looks interesting to you.

I read EVERYTHING! I will read a buffy novel every now and then, I like smutty danielle steele novels, Kate White, Nicholas Sparks.

But, since I am going to be a teacher, you will often find me reading picture books and teen novels. (I order them from the book order at dirt cheap prices!) I love them, and they are still very entertaining. Who needs to read hard books?
(My favorite picture book right now that I rould recommend is: "The pigeon finds a hotdog" by Mo Willems. Awesome book)

I've wanted to read the Da Vinci Code, though. Has anybody read that?

Hey, I just talked to a VERY reliable source (ok, he sleeps next to her every night...) about "Bitten", the book I recommended...apparently Kelley is negotiating the movie rights now, and they're looking at gettin Angelina Jolie to play Elena...how cool is that!

No, I just bought Angels & Demons, which is supposed to be the prequel or something. I'm waiting for a paperback version of Da Vinci Code...

Read Angels & Demons, it's quite interesting. It's all, "Whoa... it's the Illuminati, hey... they've been 'dead' for the past 400 years...", "Nope! We're right here, we've been hiding! And we've finally got enough power to take down the Christians for prosecuting us back than about thinking that Science enforced God's teachings.". Well, it's not actually like that, but that's like what's happening.

i would recommend "The Probable future" by alice hoffman. it's about the sparrow family.. three genaration of women... it might sound very boring, but it's so amazing. hoffmans writing is like magick 😉

Based on or is a true story:
"once in a house on fire" by Andrea Ashworth. this book is about the authors life, while growing up. it's very well writen. in fact so well written that you want to jump in an slap some of the people in it...

I just finished "Hobo: A Young Man's Thoughts on Trains and Tramping in America". *Excellent* book. The author, Eddy Joe Cotton, sets out at a young age, catching trains and hobo-ing around from Texas to Wyoming to Las Vegas and everywhere in between. He encounters all sorts of interesting characters with their own stories to tell. I read the whole thing in one sitting, then had to keep reminding myself that I can not just set out and start catching trains for the rest of my life. It's simplistic, but very insightful and poetic at the same time. I picked it up at Barnes & Noble in the bargain book area for about $4.
