And if so,which team(s) do you follow?

Doesn't matter which league it is...can be the NHL,the minors,college,major junior,whatever....stand up for your teams!

And just to repeat myself. In NHL it´s Detroit Red Wings.

Me I'm still a Canucks fan. We started strong then threw in a clunker against Washington. Don't know what to think of them yet. We meet Detroit tomorrow. Should get some clues.

I used to play Hockey with the boys from my street when I grew up. I was goalie and I ruled at that!
Other than that, don't have any connection to Hockey. I'm not even sure if ther's a German league or not.

There's a German national team. You'll see them in the Olympics. They get better every time you see them.
You guys mean "ice" hockey, as opposed to real hockey, don't you? 😉 😛

I actually own a Team Canada hockey shirt from back in the early 90s, when I visited Toronto during a Canada vs USA tournament of some sort...I can't remember what it was called but it's a really cool shirt...I must dig it out and give it an airing...

when I said I played hockey when I was younger with the guys I actually did mean hockey, the regular ice less hockey, lol
Me and The boyfriend cheer on the Philadelphia Flyers (which David Boreanaz is also a fan of 😉 He was one of the flyers celebrity bloggers last year... Hopefully he'll continue this year...)

Oh oh. You're going to have change youre allegiance. Boreanaz is a life-long Sabres fan. Blogs and broadcasts for them. Check the link in my post above.
I decide I support the Canucks..just 'cause I've got one of their shirts..
 
I used to play street hockey on roller blades back in the day...we don't have ice in Ireland, no seriously. I think I am obliged to support the Bruins now that I live in MA. Never seen a single game though. It's hard contending for attention with the Red Sox and the Patriots round here.

Correct,indeed. HOWEVER,David also blogged for NHL.com when the Flyers made it to the playoffs last season. (Can't stand the Flyers,BTW...and that's not because the roster has 2 ex-Sabres. No,sir. That's not the reason. 🙂 )

BTW,the 'Nucks get to face us tomorrow. Prepare yourselves.

I should also note that I own a few hockey jerseys,too-the Rochester Americans(AHL),Everett Silvertips(WHL)and the Cedar Rapids Roughriders(USHL). No Sabres gear as yet.

The swedish league (in english) Elitserien

But just to check if anyone has heard of him (anyone old enough?). Our general manager is now Håkan_Loob (11 years in Färjestad, 6 in Calgary Flames) The only swede to have scored 50 goals in one season in NHL. Have won WC, the olypmics, Stanley cup as well as the swedish league. One of our "biggest" players in history. 😀

And finally. A former Färjestad player made his debut in NHL a couple of nights ago. How did he do?

"DALLAS - What a debut! It was a magical night for Fabian Brunnstrom, one he'll certainly never forget.

Making his NHL debut, the Swedish rookie scored three goals to help the Dallas Stars earn their first victory of the season, defeating the Nashville Predators 6-4 Wednesday night at the American Airlines Center.

Brunnstrom, who was a healthy scratch the first two games of the season, became just the third player in NHL history to register a hat trick in his first game, joining Alex Smart (Montreal, 1943) and Real Cloutier (Quebec, 1979)."

Of course nothing that´ll continue like that but you have to treasure the moments.
 
Right now all I want to say is Jordan F@#$ing Staal.
Maybe now all those people who keep saying he sucks and needs to be traded will stop.
Seriously though, I only caught part of the Pens/Wings game because I had class, but the parts I saw were incredible. Jordan Staal had a hat trick, and all of it came from the 3rd. Amazing game.
