Any LJ Smith fans?

Okay, found it, read it. We have two Ash moments and one Ash mention if I'm right... they're small, but they rule. However, he has officially been usurped by Quinn as my favorite vampire in the series, and also, Quinn has made the list of guys who make me wish I was straight. Wouldn't have believed it reading the first volume.

Oh! And in the last part of volume 2, HUGE CHARACTER REUNION!

Your making me want to read them now! I wish this was a series as well.
I posted a thread in the Cordy forum but Charisma apparently wanted the role of Faye's mom in the Secret Circle tv series. I kind of think she would have been awesome lol.

Yeah what I read said it was because she wasn't taking the characters in the direction the publisher wanted - which to me means the way the Vampire Diaries tv show is going. 🙁

I know this is a tad off topic, but every time I see people talking about how upset they are about the new Buffy movie, I think of the Vampire Diaries. The only thing the books and the tv show have in common is the character's names (for pete sakes, the town isn't even called the same thing!) So, if people can love the books and the tv show, I think they can love Buffy as a tv show and Buffy as a new movie. Like me, they just have to look at them as completely different things.

I agree with you - I'd rather have something than nothing, and if it sucks, I don't have to watch it. But at least I had a chance at something good.
I'm also a fan of Vampire Diaries. I love the show and the books. The books give the characters more depth about them on the show, so it helps to read them to get to know the character so you can know what to expect when watching it. Apart from the name changes like Meredith/Bonnie and added Jeremy as Elenas brother. I love Alaric (when wielding a crossbow of course!!!)

I've gotten curious to read these books (the Vampire diaries, not sure what Secret circle's about 🙂). Are they young adult or 'mature' or whatever one should call anything above that?
