No offense but it seems like almost everybody on here listens to rock 'n' roll etc, I was wondering are there any pop music fans?

If so who do you love & listen to?

Why would we take offense to that...? I like some of Madonna's music, specifically Ray of Light (the album), but it's really just nostalgia. And I grew up on Michael Jackson so, yeah. I really only like them by default though. There are some songs that I like, but I just can't sit and listen to them...ya know? The only Madonna song that really makes me feel something, in terms of emotion, is Mer Girl. I also loved Britney Spears as a kid...ha.

Edit: Oh! And I love Cyndi Lauper haha, just noticed she was listed. I'm really just not a fan of modern pop artists. The way that music is produced these days is eh. Well, I do like Adele 🙂 why didn't you include her?
 
The only 'pop' music I would listen to is Backstreet Boys and N'Sync. No offence to you,[MENTION=7000]The Chosen[/MENTION] Slayer, but I do not/will not listen to anyone on your list.

I don't really love pop (in fact I used to hate it with a childish sort of hatred, lol) but lately I've been getting into some Rihanna songs. She's very talented and some of her songs are great... mainly the hits, when I tried listening to her cd's I found them a bit disappointing, so she's a bit uneven in quality of songs - however, I must admit, her videos are usually great! She's a good artist.
 
I am all about some pop music. My favorite artist is Taylor Swift. I have a blind devotion to her... haha. But my love for pop music runs deep. I'm not a big 80's pop music fan, and I hate Lady Gaga and Kesha... but other than that... name a pop artist and I probably like a lot of their songs.
 
I'm pretty much a fan of all music. There are very few, if any, sub genres I don't like at LEAST ONE song from. If you look at my Ipod, I have everything from Motzart, to Nirvana, to Lady GaGa, to Zeppelin, to Johnny Cash, to Frank Sinatra, to Celine Dion, to Jay-Z. I love it all. Very much the music buff.

I used to be a huge fan of the Backstreet Boys. I still like their music, just not as much as before.

I'm a kid of the 90's, but I hated N*Sync and I still do. I can't hear any of their music nor the songs from Justin Timberlake for that matter...

I love Taylor Swift and the Come On Over album from Shania Twain (pop with a country twist=me likey!)

I like some songs from Lady Gaga and the early songs from Rihanna. I like almost all Britney's hits, except some like the one where she danced around a pole in the video....

I LOVE Michael Jackson and I really like Pat Benatar.

Oh and I like most songs from Katy Perry.

I think that's it....

The list goes on and on...... So ya. I liked Britney's first album then i hated her about the time she eneded up with Justin timberlake, my father teases its cause i was jealous cause i loved the man like a god but it just, hated how skanky she became -shrugs-

I liked a few Christina songs as well then i just kinda blah went with her too.
 
Haha dude, I was the quintessential bubblegum pop fan back in the day. Britney, Backstreet Boys, and N'Sync were huuuuge then. I had an unabashed obsession with Britney though. "Baby, One More Time" was the first CD I've ever bought, and I still have it to this day. I still listen to them too, because I'm terribly nostalgic. 😛 Plus, you don't have to take them seriously, you can just loosen up and have fun, you know? I hate it when people bash pop music, and see the genre as inferior to others. Why can't we listen to what we want to? Like others have said, I'm in love with all types of music, from Britney, to Lacuna Coil, to Tupac, to Pink Floyd, to Daft Punk, to Aqua (yes, Barbie Girl is on my Ipod 😛). Music means different things to different people. Sometimes I want to listen to something deep, and sometimes I just want to get up and dance. There's so much beauty in every genre, so to listen to just one is ludicrous to me. I simply can't.

I like vaguely poppy bands like The Ting Tings and Alphabeat. Not so much the American stuff though.
 
I was a huge Backstreet Boys fan. Show Me the Meaning of Feeling Lonely still hurts my soul. And I let my students sing Larger Than Life and dance on stage to it a few years ago. 😀

The Larger Than Life dance was awesome!!! And the Everybody (Backstreet's Back) original video dance was just the best 😀

My fave BSB songs are: As Long As You Love Me (Backstreet Boys), What Makes You Different (Princess Diary soundtrack), Get Another Boyfriend (Black & Blue) and Shattered (This Is Us). But pretty much all their songs are good 😀 😀 😀
 
I loved BSB,(still do) N*Snyc, Britney, Christina, etc.

I freaking love Madonna, and have since I was a little girl.
I love old school MJ, but not anything he released in the past 15 years 😛

Dislikes:

Anything and everything Lady Gaga (she's trash)
Ke$ha is horrible too ( I abhor even having to type her name because she insists on putting a dollar sign in it)
Katy Perry doesn't bother me that much, I really don't have an opinion.
I effin hate Nicki Minaj.
 
I love all types of music, and pop music is one of my favorites. I also absolutely LOVE Madonna. She's my absolute favorite singer. I adore Christina Aguilera, Cyndi Lauper, and Britney Spears as well. 🙂

I like a bit of pop music now and again. Although I'm more into Electro/Dance/Dubstep these days, I'm a 90's child so grew up with nothing but pop!

were my favourites, and I still have all their stuff on my iPod.
When I go to party's with friends, we always request 90's music cause it's so jumpy and upbeat. You can't help but dance along.
 
I listen to all kinds of music so of course pop is included. I might not call myself as pop fan as such but I doubt that I'd call myself a fan of any music at this point in my life. I've been through phases before. Now I'm a fan of music. Even if there's a lot I don't enjoy listening to.

If I'm going to mention artists it'll be from back in the day. Michael Jackson, Madonna, Kylie Minogue and New kids on the block need to be mentioned. a-ha and Michael learns to rock I'd put under this category as well. No, The actor is not my favourite song by MLTR.
