Any sports fans?

I was just curious if there are any other huge sports fans on BB. Im a huge Boston Celtics fan (pro basketball), Carolina Panthers fan (pro american football), and Atlanta Braves fan (pro baseball). Being from Hawaii I have no hometown team leaving me to be a little scattered with my teams. If I had to chose one team to root for in any sport it would be the Boston Celtics 😀
 
I'm a huge fan of the Montreal Alouettes (american football) and I watch the SuperBowl every year.

Oh, and I started following college football, since I'll be cheering (from the bleechers) for the Montreal University "Carabins" next year 😀
 
You're a Panthers fan, eh? They're my secondary team, I'm from NC. How are you liking Cam Newton?

I follow NFL a decent amount, enough to play in a weekly pool for fun. I'm a New York Giants fan myself. I tend to pull for NY teams generally, such as the Rangers (NHL) and the Mets (MLB). I've never been big on basketball so I'd feel a bit silly picking a team for that one.
 
Ugh Cam has been letting us all down this year 🙁 I had such high hopes for him this season. I know its not all his fault, you can blame the offensive line for not protecting him enough or the receivers for not making the catches but at the end of the day he has to step up his game. Im a nerd I know I know lol

Quite a few people were expecting good things from Cam this year and so far have been rather disappointed. Like you said though, it's not all his fault, but he still hasn't been performing up to the hopes people had for him. Not nearly. It's not just the Panthers though. A lot of good teams have been rather off this year. Makes the pool that much harder to win with all the upsets that have been happening.
 
Yeah I am in a few fantasy leagues and its really hard to be confident in your teams when any player could do good or bad.
 
Awesome thread! I'm a huge Vancouver Canucks fan, and have been my whole life. I love NHL hockey, so it's been killing me that they aren't playing right now.

I like MLB baseball a lot, and the Toronto Blue Jays are my team. Brett Lawrie is my favorite baseball player.

I also really like boxing and pro wrestling. In terms of entertainment, I love watching Manny Pacquiao. I used to really like the heavyweights, but that division has been a mess for years now. In WWE, I really like John Cena, CM Punk and Triple H.
 
I used to watch pro wrestling back in the WWF and WCW days but now a days its more of every once in a while ill watch. I havent really paid attention to Hockey ever but I have been meaning to learn about it and start watching it. I hear its way better live than on tv.
 
I am a huge sports fan. I like football (soccer) but American pro sports are my favourites. I have been a San Francisco 49ers (American football) fan since I was a kid. I go to Wembley every year to watch the game and am super excited that San Francisco will be playing over here again next year.
 
Oh, yeah I forgot to mention I kinda watch gold once in a while *blushing* My mom likes to watch games during the week-end when there's nothing else good on TV, so I know a few of the players.

And I can't stand hockey... And I am really glad they aren't playing (hence everyone's not talking about it) right now.

I love the Celtics! Even drafted Rondo on my Fantasy Basketball team.

Also root for players more than teams. Rooting for RG3, Peyton Manning, Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant.
 
Theres lots of sports fans on here and shame on you for being a Boston fan...ppl from there have sn excuse cause they had the poor luck to be from there but you chose it 😛 ...im a big fan of most sports...NY everything

My sports interest has decreased massively through the years. I'm still interested but I don't watch that much anymore. Besides Liverpool (soccer).

Right now though. Germany at home vs. Sweden, in the lead 4-0. End result, 4-4. 😀 Also soccer.

The knicks are studs on paper but for some reason Amare and Melo can coexist. Or maybe its Chandler and Amare who cant coexist
 
I like sports in general. I cheer mostly for Detroit teams, with an occasional NY team here and there. I'm a hardcore Wolverines and Tigers fan. I like watching the Red Wings when I can catch a game. I like the Pistons purely from loyalty and watch the Lions on the occasional Sunday (with dramatic eyerolling.)

Also, I'd like to add that the Tigers are gonna be winning the ALCS starting in about 57 minutes.

I'd have to agree...injured Jeter and benched ARod - they might as well have just handed us the win.
I don't really care about Baseball anymore. I haven't for the last three or four years. It's all Basketball and American Football for me. I also hope the USA makes it to the World Cup. I love rooting for them.
