Aside from Buffy and Angel the X-Files is my favorite TV show. I was just wondering if there were any other fans out there of the series. I'm doing a re-watch right now and I just started season 4. I just loved the Mulder/ Scully dynamic and that ever lasting question of whether or not they'd ever get those two together. It kept me riveted. Plus the idea of aliens is something I find quiet interesting (not sure if I believe it or not). What about everyone else? Did you love this show? Do you wish they'd do a third movie? I wanna see some X-Files love!

Oh yeah, I love X-Files. I just recently got into the series, but I'm loving it so far. The writing is almost on par with Buffy.

I'd love to see a third movie, considering that I could go see it in the theaters 🙂 I was way too young to see the first one, and I wasn't interested in the show yet when the second one was released.

I love the x-files! One of my favourite shows. The relationship between Mulder and Scully is definately a major part of the show's appeal. But I also loved Dogget too. I think the series went a little off-track during the later seasons- I really, really disliked the series finale and I'm not a fan of the second movie...but I'd love to see a third one and have them return to their alien-roots.

I like the X-Files. I haven't watched many episodes so far, but I really liked most of the episodes I've seen. My brother has all 9 seasons on DVD. My favorite episode is Ice.

I used to love it and watch it every week when it aired. But not so much now to be honest. It's not a show I'd choose to go back and watch unless someone owned the box sets and begged me lol.

Weirdly I started watching The X-Files first and then it became my sisters favourite programme. (I used to watch it upstairs in my parents room while my Mam and sister were downstairs watching Cracker) and my sister started watching Buffy first (she saw the film at the cinema and raved about it for weeks) and I would tell her it was a really stupid show, without ever having watched it... now it's my favourite show.

I like the X-Files a lot but I didn't have a clue what was going on with the ongoing conspiracy story after about four seasons. I'd be tempted to watch it all again now I'm hopefully old enough to follow it.

The early seasons were good but the writing quality fell off in later seasons. The setting of the early series in Vancouver and the spooky forests near there helped set the mood. As soon as they changed location, the visual aspect took a nosedive.

Glad to see some other fans of the show! I didn't like the show as much in the last two seasons because of the notable absence of Mulder. But I still felt like the show was a good one. I just usually watch the seasons with Mulder in them and then the last episode of season 9. He was my favorite part of the show.

I love The X Files. All 9 seasons. Season 2 might be my favorite since it is so dark and it just oozes dread and paranoia. Amazing finale and great mythology episodes. I also love most of the MOTW stuff.

Me and my husband love the X-Files! We've actually started a re-watch of them too! 😀 I think I prefer the earlier seasons to the later ones, think it's a bit weird without Mulder :S but then again, whenever we watch it from the beginning, I can't stop staring at Scully's awful dated outfits!!! LOL (Obviously not dated back then lol) 😀
Me and my husband are both believers of UFO's and Aliens 😀 We even have the Mulder poster up in our computer room/spare room lol 😀

(That is Mulder's room, not ours, just to clarify lol 😀)

Haha. Cool :)
X-Files was one of the first shows I followed seriously.
Still not sure if I've truly understand the mythology though. All those twists and turns... I will probably never really be able to follow it completely lol.

Also think that the show bounced back considerable with season 8 (I think it was anyway).
Doggett was a great addition and that season had some great, dark, episodes that I loved.

/SK

The mythology can be confusing which is why I've watched it several times now. I'm not sure i really understood everything completely the first time I watched. It's such a multi layered show with a myth arc and tons of MOTW episodes that are easy to follow. I just love the show even if it is confusing. I liked Dogget and Reyes but I missed Mulder a lot during seasons 8 and 9.

I love the X-Files 🙂 I remember it from when I was a little kid, but I didn't actually get into it until about 2 years ago. All I remembered from when I was a kid was that black and white episode with that poor deformed guy who was obsessed with Cher, haha. Oh and the one that was written by Stephen King with the evil doll, and the one with the hillbilly family that kept their mother under the bed....that gave me nightmares when I was little, ick.

I think it got better and better with every season up until season 8. I did enjoy season 8, but I didn't like season 9. I got really bored. Its not that I didn't like Dogget and Reyes, I did. But it just wasn't the same for me. I found myself skipping alot of episodes. One day I'll go back and watch it properly. I did really like the last two episodes though 🙂

I really liked the first movie. The second one I thought was pretty average tbh. But I would still really love a 3rd movie 🙂

I love The X-Files, but.....

.....I cannot watch it anymore due to how they, in my opinion, ruined the show in the 8th and 9th seasons. Chris Carter is evil.....

I'm not interested in re-watching the show, but really liked it when it was first on. It's still one of my all-time favorites. I still would like to eventually see "Monday" and "Three of a Kind", though. I hope that the third film (if there is one) will finally deal with
the alien invasion teased in the final episode of the TV series
.
