Tonight's episode is supposed to be an Anya-fest. 'bout time! 😉

Yeah nice, but Anya fans r probably all sad, because of Emma leaving!

Totally thought she was leaving in this episode. With the title being "Selfless" and her being willing to exchange her life and soul to undo the wish - seemed fitting. D'Hoffryn killing Halfrek took me by surprise. But now I tend to think that Anya will be sacrificed for Xander to prove her love or for one of the others to prove her loyalty to the Scooby Gang.

Is it even certain that she will die ? or maybe she'll just leave !

I as well thought this would be the end of our ever blunt Anya . Im so glade it wasent though I was a bit surprised that it was Hal that was sacrificed to undo the vengnace spell. I as well was surprised at how much strength Anya had in hand to hand combate aginst Buffy . I was also surprised when buffy brought up the part about Xander telling her that Willow said to Kick Angels ASs which we know she didnt now theres something that if Buffy would have paid attintion would have put a wedge in her and Xanders friendship I think.

Frankly I thought this ep was great. Some dramatic moments, some funny stuff (especially liked the 980's 'Aud' and 'Olaf'.. YAR!), and even a really surprising moment (Halfrek's demise was atleast shocking to me). I guess I got a little suckered into forgetting that D'Hoffryn really is a bad dude. Also, I noticed the Angel mention. Where are they going w/ that? It seems like a strange time (ie 5 years) to bring that up. But it definitely would put another strain on B and X's friendship.... I wonder if that will be looked at again.. or if it really just was to better articulate Buffy's point about how she does what is right regardless of what she wants. That seems too simple... Oh and what was w/ the 2 buffy's talking to spike? Which one was real? Is he seeing things in his craziness or is it the shapeshifting demon i keep reading about here? Ah well. It is late for me, not much up to thinking too hard. Still great ep overall. Looking forward to next week w/ all the former big bads. All the big bads all at once.. that's gotta be a nightmare for buffy! 🙂

Gnite,

My suspicion is that buffy #2 was the real one. The first one was too nice, and frankly buffy doesn't forgive and forget that easily.

I think they were just showing that other being from episode 1 and it's continual work of seducing Spike.

Heck - we all think Anya is leaving, but really, when do you KNOW anything for sure in this series?

I loved the episode, kinda explained the whole bunny thing too, but I couldn't get over the casting of Olaf. Ack. It was Jerry from ER. I just couldn't suspend my disbelief for that portion! 😉

Well about Anya leaving, Emma just said she would not sign for another season, so you can be pretty sure of her leaving!

I missed the bunny thing! I think I must have been trying to explain something to my roommate. Can someone fill me in?

They really didn't explain the bunny thing, except to make the point that once Anya had had bunnies and was clearly not afraid of them then. I thought it was interesting to find out, though, that Anya/Aud dabbled in the magiks before becoming a demon. Olaf was trollified with a spell she cast.

Yeah I watched it again this morning... There definitely wasn't an explantion for the fear of bunnies. But is was funny to see her with them saying that she would like to give them away NOT in exchange for goods or services. LOL. Also, we knew about her turning Olaf into a troll from "Triangle"... was that season 5?

Again, I really liked the ep. The flashbacks were especially fun for me. Was Anya a viking!? 😉

That episode was totally awesome! I especially loved the part were she was Aud part---ie. the use of black and white film and those two talking is Swedish. And, of course, the singing part. Is Emma awesome or what? And, of course, Xander and Buffy going out, and her reminding him of what he told her to do about Angel. We all knew eventually that it would come up and Willow telling everyone what really happened. Too bad about Halifrek though. Hey, did we all know that she and William met a long time ago?? Remember in "Older and Far Way," when they recognized each other? I finally realized it when they showed "Fool for Love" again. She was Cecily--the girl that William had a crush on before Drusilla turned him into a Vampire...Too bad that we didn't find out why Anya is still afraid of bunnies...I guess that we will just have to speculate on that one...

Well about Anya leaving, Emma just said she would not sign for another season, so you can be pretty sure of her leaving!

True enough, although in that case it simply means she isn't signing up for another season thus not bound by any contract to stay. Hey - my rent is month to month, but I'm not going anywhere! 😛 I will continue to be in denial, thank ya very much!

And, of course, Xander and Buffy going out, and her reminding him of what he told her to do about Angel. We all knew eventually that it would come up and Willow telling everyone what really happened.

And great timing, as the Becoming rerun was on FX the other day.

The whole bunny thing I think was due to the amount of bunnies that were multiplying to no end and the fact that Olaf seemed to hoard them rather than share them.
