Anya/Xander True Love

I honestly love Anya/Xander so much, it really tore me apart to see their relationship crumble. I think Anya has always loved Xander and even loves him wherever she may be right now.

I think it shows her true love for her in the fact that when Buffy put a sword through Anya and she was laying on the wall lifeless, her last thought was when she was tucking Xander (who had fallen asleep) in and singing I'll Be His Mrs.

Even in a death situation, her final thoughts were of Xander and her undying love for him.

Which is why I think that if she was to come back in the comics, no matter how much development Xander has had, she'll fit in just fine, because her and Xander were meant to be and I think Xander still knows that and thinks of her on a regular basis.

I loved Xander/Anya, too and in that time and space they were a great fit. Xander made a big mistake leaving her at the altar. I completely agree that Xander is Anya's true love, but I don't think she should be brought back, and if so I definitely don't think they should back together. There's no place for her anymore. Xander no longer loves her. Anya died bravely fighting for a cause the people she had grown to love inspired her to follow. I like it. I wouldn't change a thing.

I agree that Xander was wrong leaving Anya at the alter like that - it was harsh and cruel and he could have found a better way to face his fears. But in saying that, I DON'T think it was wrong that he didn't marry her. Marrying her even though he was scared and knew that he didn't want to would have made a bad situation even worse. Xander did the right thing, just in the worst way possible.
