Anya?

As far as I know, there are no current plans to bring Anya back in S8, but we all know what Joss is like...that could change.
 
I doubt we will see Anya or Tara in S8. Considering theme of Ripper i would not be suprised if they showed up there however along with Jenny and Joyce. And if Ripper happens before S8 it would kinda spoil the movie if something happened there. Anyways, that is my thoughts on this.

Anya may reappear in the canonical Buffy the Vampire Slayer season eight comic book series. Joss Whedon told MTV that she was "definitely dead... but that doesn't mean she's gone."[4] Later, Dark Horse Comics editor Scott Allie stated that there were no current plans for Anya to appear

Well, I think this means that Joss might be saving her for something else, namely the Ripper movie.
 
I like the idea of adding Anya to the Ripper movie. That could work. And it would be nice to see her again.

Well, why not? It's not like they've been strangers. They knew each other, had a shop together. Also, I don't know what time period the movie would be in, but, emergency scenario, Anya could still appear as a vengeance demon.

Maybe we'll see her in a flashback of some sort. it would be cool to see Anya again. I miss the humour she bought to the Scoobs.
 
Also, I like the possibility that Anya could be a spirit maybe? Initially, I think that bringing her back in as a ghost would be pretty limited, but of course Joss is only limited by his imagination.

I think the idea of just a flashback or a coincidental previous meeting with her in Ripper's past really wouldn't do Anya or Emma caulfield justice. Anya has always had unrealized potential funneled into convenient comic relief (IMO). I mean, remember her scenes from "The Body." WOW.

If there were a way to bring her in post-mortem as a solid character... I mean, a major character, I think there are some amazing things that could be written and done involving Giles and Anya. In BTVS, their commonalities and experiences with the world of the supernatural were never really explored. They could make or be a part of an amazing team in the fight against evil.

As to Season 8, I think similarly regarding Anya in relation to Giles and Faith, or Anya in relation to our current Scoobies. The potential is there... but there has to be some real and convincing way to bring the girl back.
 
Reason why i suggested Ripper was because i read somewhere Ripper theme was spirit world or something related to it.
 
Anya and Rupert were always great together!

Fav Anya moment is when she thinks Rupert blew up the watcher's council... it was classic. Loved all there interactions at the magic shop, so yea that would be great to see her in the Ripper movie... though to be honest I cannot imagine that movie ever actually happening I feel like it would've by now if it was actually going to happen... except what do I know.
 
Anya won't return.. That's what I heard. You might get to see Angel and Spike, but Anya is of the list
