Okay I'm not going to argue about it 'cause I'm not sure and if TMS is big Anya/Emma fan he probably knows better. 🙂
 
Anya's death had meaning. All you had to do was look where she started her human life, and how far her journey took her. She died a hero, saving humans. And really one of the reasons we watched this show for seven years.
 
Well I read in one of my Buffy mags that Emma was going to leave the show whether it was renewed or not so I guess Joss just decided to kill her character.
 
i didnt want her to die, but it was Emma Caufield's choice. Although,being they did i think they should have killed her off more respectfully, i really don't like the way in which she died. If it was my choice though she would have never died.
 
I'm the second person to vote yes. I voted yes because I thought it was the most honorable way for Anya to exit the Buffyverse. I didn't want her to go (I love Anya) but I don't think there would have been enough closure if Anya had just left. It wouldn't do justice to her character for her to just leave all of her friends, and she would have had to because Emma Caulfield had always said that this was her last season no matter what, and that she didn't want to do guest appearances on Angel.
 
Yeah but she only got a 3 second death scene and the gang or atleast Xander should have shown more grief!
 
i think it was right to kill Anya as it was the last epi an we did need sum deaths that actaully meant sumthing, 10-20 potentials die an no one is that fased by it 1 lead character gets it an people are in shock. especially Anya, the funny quirky gal! *sob*
 
I guess its better Anya then any other but still I really liked Anya and I hate that it was only like a couple seconds they showed her die and never showed her after that. It would have been kewl if Xander picked up Anya, carried her out and gave her a proper burial or something but w/e.
 
I don't think she should of died, as much as I began to hate her in S7 only a tad, I think she should of survived the final battle. It would of been a better finale if they killed a orginal scoobie, it would of meant so much more. I would not of like to see any of them die, but it would of made it so more moving and a even more special episode.
 
It'd probably, but it was nicer that original Scoobies recreated that scene once again altogether...
 
At the end of the episode when they all looked back at Sunnydale Anya should have been there. She's been on the show since S3! Andrew should not have been there because he wasnt even as close to being an honorary scoobie as Anya was!
 
totally!!!anya desrved to be there,shes saved alot of people if she wasnt there,most of the people who did survive wouldnt be there,i thought it sucked when they killed her::thumb::
 
Yes, her storyline couldn't have ended better. The whole thing with Xander, Hallie and Andrew was resolved and well, there wasn't much more for her to do then die in a selfless act.
