I voted for yes... I mean I really liked Anya and I was kind of disappointed that her death waas that quick and nobdy really cared... but I don't know,, it would hve been kind of weird.. everybody dies just not the main cast.. those friends will never die blablabla.. ya know what i mean? maybe they should have picked another character but i wouldn't really know what would have been if anya would have survived... it was too short for me, but I don't think anya would have gotten a really normal or happy life anymore.. sorry I don't know why I think that but i just do... I really loved Anya, because she always brought in such 'happiness' whenever the others were down!

I didnt like her death. No one even really seemed to care that she had died either.. All Xander said was 'Thats my girl'.. bah! She should have been given a big send off like Tara did...
She shouldnt have died like that.

Yea, Vampyr, I didn't think abou tthat, but they didn't seem to have a big reaction to her death...another thing that makes me mad about her death....I just wish she hadn't ever died....

It would of been great if they was a big mourn for her death. But I'm guessing the guys just felt sad 'coz of Anya yet Happy as they defating the Hellmouth

I personally didn't want her to die, in this one epie, I think that it was called "selfless" I wanted her to die so bad! But I really like(d) her, and I didn't want her to die.....🙁

Well, those images he saw were completely made up, he left her because he was afraid of the potential of these images to actually happen, even though they weren't actually real. A little thing such as them getting married could easily have changed the course of the future...maybe she wouldn't have died...but we'll never know...

That marriage would have changed the outcome. Uh... Xander and Anya would have mostly been paired up, then Andrew with Dawn. Or Andrew with Wood and Dawn with Giles. Then they would still kill Anya, but they would have a bigger moaning. The body is left in a hole now! 🙁

I didn't want her to die. She was one of my favorite characters. I agree with Magui. Her death scene was horrible. It was soo fast! If you blinked you missed it. I'm not saying I wanted her to die slowly and painfully, but you know...I think her character deserved to go out in a bigger way.

The fact that she died in the VERY last episode of Buffy was a little advantage. If Buffy had of continued for an 8th season I guess we would of been missing Anya more!

What gets me is that Anya died needlessly. If Buffy was a better tactician Anya might still be alive. Buffy knew that some of the ubervamps would get through the potentials, but she didn't have enough people assigned to stop them. Dawn and Xander worked well but the group could have broken the glass window before releasing the ubervamps. That would have effectively blocked that passage and Dawn and Xander could have fought somewhere else. Buffy just didn't want either of them to get hurt. The two strongest fighters, Giles and Robin, took the main exit and were almost overwhemed by the ubervamp. If the pendant from W&H hadn't have worked they probably both would have died fighting and the ubervaps would have escaped from Sunnydale. Simply put if Buffy assigned Xander and Dawn to get Willow out and put one potential with each group guarding the exits her friends would have been a lot better off. Also, did you notice that she assigned Anya and Andrew both of whom she did not like to the same position. Anya was in a horrible position in that battle. She had to fight things that were hard to kill and much stronger than her and could not count on any help from Andrew. My initial reaction was "Buffy why did you let Anya get killed? Giles or Spike why didn't you tell her that her allocation of people was bad?"

Wow,Hitome,I never thought of it that ways...you're right!!

I don't think Anysa should have died.It was,as you've all said,so quick, and,to tell the truth,I didn't realize she was killed until I saw them all running out of the school, and when Xander was yelling for her,and it showed her body next to an ubervamps.I was like "What??Anya??"It was so quick...poor Anya. Also,I felt like crying when Xander said to Andrew after he was told that Anya died saving him:

"That's my girl.Always doing the stupid thing."

I was like NOOO!!!! ::crying2:

I don't think Anya should've died.BUT,I do think it was good that she died in the very last episode.I don't think I could stand to see Xander mourning Anya's death...🙁🙁🙁

I cried

I hated that Anya died but I hated the fact that no one seemed broken up about it even more. There should have been a lot more emotion from Xander than the one line that he gave Anya's death. ::uh::

so very true, i just recently saw this one again in reruns, and i was like.... thats it. she was your girl and all you can say.... thats my girl 🙁 i didnt like that, but hey, what can you do

Oh geez am I coming into this convo late!

I was so sad when Anya died! But I guess in battle not everyone can come out alive...but why not principal wood??? that made me mad. I watched it before my b-ball game, and I was crying the whole way there, but luckily it was dark so my dad didn't notice (it was an away game) i was really made at robin wood...

Yea that is true, not everyone in the battle could come out alive.....and I question that too, why her and not principal wood!!! He was new, and so didn't need to be there, she has been there for like what....3 or 4 seasons!!!!! So not fair....
