Anybody think the First Evil should be featured on Angel

In BtVS S3 Amends Angel was haunted by apparitions of his kills which turned out to be a manifestation of the First Evil. I always thought that the First Evil should be featured on Angel- Angel has that whole higher power thing and I think that an entity like that would fit in. I mean links with Wolfram and Hart are bound to surface. I am not saying that the First Evil itself should be included as a person but as a presence with minions going after Angel.

What do you think?
 
Definitely. I must be honest, I am a recent 'BtVS' fan since only March--although I have every ep on tape/DVD and know the series inside and out--unfortunately, because of this, I have missed the first two seasons of 'Angel'. But as I understand it, the first Evil is essentially responsible for Ange's return to the world. Therefore I think it prudent to bring it back so we can get some resolution on this.

Or maybe I am completely wrong. Like I said, I missed the first two seasons and there is no way to watch them until either it runs in synidication or is released on DVD in the US. So I apologize if I got my Angel mythology wrong. 😕

Thats the thing- the First Evil told Angel that he was bought back by it but we don't know if that is true. I think Amends left it a bit ambiguous- it could be the First or it could be the Powers that Be. I would like them to explore that connection because both powers have a reason to bring him back.
 
I've always wondered about that....

What gets me is the part in 'Amends' when Angel decides to go greet the sun and the First Evil says, "That wasn't the plan...but it will do." Then why would thy bring him back if they don't care if he fries? Ambiguous, indeed.

Well if Angel killed himself a warrior for the light would be lost but if he lost his soul the darkness would also gain a warrior- either way a warrior for the light would be lost. The only way the darkness loses is if what happened happened- if there was a miracle and the souled Angel lived and fought. In that vain the First had more of a reason than the PTB to bring Angel back- the PTB only had the fact that Angel could be one of the greatest powers of good that fought on the Earth
 
Jenni Lou, if you get cable or satellite dish for that matter, you can watch reruns of Buffy. There are reruns every weeknight at 7 pm on FX. Currently it's in season 4 but they go pretty quickly since one is shown everynight. If you get FX you can frequently check to see when Season 1 and 2 start. Or you could spend a large amount of money on the DVD sets for seasons 1 and 2. 😀 Take your pick.
 
Oh no, Honey...I got the S1 and S2 DVD box sets and I got all the other eps on tape...it's 'Angel' I haven't seen--except for most of S3. Unfortunately, there's no way to watch those. I've tried downloading them, but always run into problems.

I get problems when I try to download them- I tried to download the Angel s3 ep Birthday (cause I missed it on account of faulty recording) from Kazaa- it's an avi. file but whenever I try to play it on realone player all I get is the sound no picture- very strange.

Oooooooh. I must have been having a slow day. 😀 I haven't seen the first or second season of Angel either. I read the transcripts at www.buffyworld.com but it's just not the same. I think that season 1 is supposed to come out on DVD in October? I hope so. I'm dying to see it. 😉

Yeah, that's the problem I get which is weird 'cause I downloaded a whole bunch of 'BtVS' and they came out fine. Not to mention, there aren't too many 'Angel' files anyway. 😡

Really now that is strange- I thought it was just my software but now someone else has the same problem that is interesting

I thought that too for awhile but when I tried to play it it would give me the image. When I checked its properties it said no that it had no audio converter...which totally sucks 'cause there no way to get it if it didn't come with the download.

Yeah- whenever mine tries to get the thing from realone it always says there isn't one available
 
It would be cool if the First Evil came back, but I think that it would have been better for the First Evil to have come back when Angel turned to the darkside in S2. It might have had a real chance to get the powerful warrior back on the side of evil. Anyway, if it does come back, it would be interesting to see what it will do to Angel this time. Possibly turn Connor into an evil being??😱 😱

I think Connor being evil has been done but isn't Angel set to return to being Angelus for a while- the First Evil could be involved in that
 
If they bring back the First Evil it's going to be a bit like bringing back Angelus -- they're going to have to make sure it doesn't get monotonous.

(I frankly agreed with Buffy's I-get-it-already at the end of the episode.)

I quite agree- they need to make sure its interesting which is hard with an entity with so much power (like a Superman comic book)
 
Here's a thought. Maybe the first evil will be the big bad on buffy and angel. Remember in amends the first evil could turn into people. They keep sayin that on Buffy old characters would return, this would be a clever way to do it.
 
So far Buffy's BB resemles the first evil in a big way, although seemingly without chanting priests.
 
Maybe the First Evil ties in with with what Lorne saw in Cordelia's reading that shook him up so much, and the reference to the poem "Slouching Towards Bethlehem".
