Anyone but me hate Spike nowadays

Ever since the beginning of Season 6, I have hated Spike. He was awesome in seasons 2 and 4, (and his episode in 3), and he was OK in 5. After that, though, he got really annoying, and I find myself waiting for the scenes he isnt in.

Anyone Agree?
 
yea, i hated him last sesaon too.. he's less annoying this season, but not really funny anymore like he used to be.
 
He's currently my least favorite character, that's for sure. I guess since I loved him so much being bad with Drusilla, that the performance just doesn't match up when he's all having-of-the-chip with impaired badness. And now, with the soul... at least he was a little more funny back then like captain peroxide said.

Well Joss knew that he had turned Spike into a total wimp so at least in 7x15 he grabbed his coat and went bad again 😛
 
I don't know, I mean, I really love bad Spike, but I guess when a character's your favourite, you love them in every season. Hence I still love Spike.

that scene was one of the most over-the-top, corniest things ever done on the show.

"i don't know about you... (strikes match on demon corpse) but a fight like that... (lights cigarette) IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL."

Well Joss, David, Dougles and Marti have all said they love the freedom to do cheesy and corny stuff 😛 And I liked the way his duster symbolised his badness 😀
 
well we all know spike is gonna have SOME sort of a role when the show closes.. plus c'mon who are we kidding buffy is definitely in love with him..

but whatever.. i still like spike's character. he's not like riveting but he's still a complicated character so thats good. meh.

I think his character and the developments he has undergone are nothing short of Fantastic. The getting his soul back and stuff I had no problem with and in fact I probably like his character better now than I did when he was bad.
 
He's great, the show really needs him, he has a lot of value, more then Xander or Anya!
 
I use to like Spike in S2 and in a little bit in S4. But in S5, S6, and S7 he is beginning to annoying me!

I miss bad ass Spike who didn't take crap from no one!
 
But don't you get it? Buffy and Spike wouldn't fall in love if Spike were badass and "didn't take crap from no one"...

Spike's been grading on my nerves ever since Season 5. At least in Season 4 he was trying to kill the Scoobies. Not that I wanted them dead, but at least he was the bad-ass we know and love. Ever since he fell in love with Buffy, things have gone downhill with me for him. The Spuffy relationship, in my opinion, is not as great as it's cracked up to be.😉😀🙂

Then he got his soul! Can we say "REDUNDANT!" That's been done before, we don't need any more vampires with souls, it's bordering on cheesy like I've never imagined🙄😀

I kind of wish he'll be killed off this season😉😀🙂
 
i like spik the way he is now! but also season 2! none of the inbetween seasons though... well except for 'Lovers Walk'.
 
I love Spike. I think he's great. And they use him in such great ways.

favourite Spike scenes include:
-When Buffy was invisible and they were having sex and Xander walks in, and Spike pretends to be doing exercises.
-in Storyteller during the quick scene when Andrew was doing "introductions" and there was that completely cheesy thing where Spike had his shirt off and Andrew was all "Here's Buffy and Spike with all their sexual tension"
-any scene where he's got his shirt off...
-The scene when he sows up in Angel, at the beginning, and does a voice over for a rescue scene of Angels. "nancy-boy hair gel"
-"Dru, that's the ceiling. And it's Day."

They should never have fallen in love, that was the worst relationship they have ever come up with on the show.

he originally stole the jacket from someone's mother who he MURDERED. seems a little strange that he'd want to wear it so badly.


in season 4 he was still a good character since all you had to do was put him in a scene with anyone, especially xander or giles, and it was usually hilarious. they don't even do that anymore. they had a chance in "him" when spike and xander were teamed up, but they hardly even made any jokes with it.
