Anyone disappointed in Dollhouse?

Also,is anybody disappointed with jw's dollhouse?I think that
firefly,angel,and obviously buffy had just that something extra.

Oops my bad. Bad Eggs is the forum where you go to get adopted. I guess I thought this thread was in Bad Eggs and I thought I'd get to adopt someone. None taken 😀

To answer the question though, yes, I was disappointed with Dollhouse. It has it's moments and Epitaph One was amazing but if I was expecting a show on par with Buffy, Angel, and Firefly, I definitely didn't get it.
 
It doesn't matter anyhoo

I got an email saying"we're diverting you to this place"or what'ever.all i meant was that eliza dushku(although sexy as ever)didn't seem like her heart was in it.I've seen all her credits and i suppose she'll always be faith to me,although tru was awsome too.
 
No I'm not disappointed.
Sure, I would rate both Buffy and Firefly higher, Maybe even Angel.

But I still enjoy Dollhouse and it's pretty much what I expected it to be. So I'm not disappointed at all.

yeah i was really disappointed. i watched up to the 6th episode, when everybody said that it would start getting good, and it was still pretty boring. oh well, that's what buffy and firefly dvds are for.

I think if you were expecting something like Buffy and Angel then you would be disappointed, but if you went in with no preconceptions about the show then you would have enjoyed Dollhouse for what it is and looked at it as something that stood/stands apart from the rest of the Jossverse, then you can appreciate Dollhouse for what it is! Awesome. (sw)
 
I was a little disappointed at the start but the further it went on, I started to really like it, and now I know where it's going Im really looking forward to season 2?
 
I agree, BEG, it definitely got better towards the later half. The first half is weaker than the first but I stuck it out quite happily because I thought the whole concept of the show was simply awesome and everyone I've spoken to about the premise of the show has said it sounds like an awesome idea.

I also showed to three friends recently, all of which had watched Buffy in varying amounts and they all loved it. The only episode they thought was weak was Stage Fright, but they still appreciated its place in the whole season.
 
I loved every second of it,I rewatch it all the time looking for more insight.

I cannot wait for more. I do know people who dislike it, which confuses me. Because it is cleary awesome.

I started to warm up to it with the Patton Oswalt ep...when Echo plays his lady friend or wife or whoever ("Porn!"). Wish there were more opportunities to bring in comedy. Adelle and Topher high on that drug was good too.

As the "evil" characters have gotten more sympathetic, it's gotten more interesting.

Epitaph One totally got me psyched for the new season. Joss was mentioning at Comic Con that they've got a new cinematographer or...someone...who was bringing in a new visual style. Bringing more grit, urgency to the feel of the thing. And he's bringing in John Cassaday to direct at least one ep, which is cool.

I love the comedy in Dollhouse, but to be honest I think it's good with this show to not have it TOO often, or else it would ruin it I think.
At first yes i kinda was, its definately not as good as Angel imo, but as it progressed it got much, much better. Eps 7-12 were great, for me. The flashbacks to when alpha went crazy and the actual reveal were highlights for me. Great acting.

amy acker,and i must confess,i might have been overhard
in my judgement of it.I AM A FOOOOOOOL
 
Im not sure what I think of Dollhouse I have watched ever episode so far but I find myself waiting for something to happen it all seems a bit disconnected at the moment, I'll keep watching though I have faith in Joss : king :
