Anyone doing any re watches at the moment?

I'm always re-watching something. Currently it's S2 (Asylum) of American Horror Story and random (favorite) episodes of Castle.

I've never seen Castle but been dying to try it out, a friend told me has LOADS of firefly references?? Is it on any streaming platforms?
I sometimes rewatch random Buffyverse and Smallville episodes.

same! watching Superstar right now! Haven't watched Smallville in forever =S
Rewatching Buffy with my husband, who is a first time watcher and completely unspoiled. It's a lot of fun ^^
We've hit Blood Ties yesterday and will probably be watching Crush tonight.
How did you manage to not spoil your husband? Is he enjoying it, does he have a favourite season, character, arc etc? I love hearing first timers thoughts on the show.

@vznspike Halt & Catch Fire is not a Whedonverse show. However there is a Whedon connection as Joss' younger brother Zach is a writer on series. It's one of my favorite shows of all time. Also it has one of the best episodes dealing with grief ever put to screen. Ironically that season 4 episode was also written by Zach Whedon. If you look on Rotten Tomatoes it's a rare show that's score goes up each season. It's final season is still sitting at 100%! Trailer...

BTW - it's on Netflix (at least it is in America)

Priceless

Awesome!! I think I might be getting a new roommate soon, a teenager roommate (if she's suitable for the job) and I'm already anticipating introducing her to Whedonverse xD Don't know wether to start with BTVS or Firefly

Finished rewatching Angel S3 recently. The season is mostly as good as I remembered it, though I felt the last few episodes were weaker on a second watch.

I tend not to talk about my obsession too much, partly so I don't turn people off and can eventually make them share it with me haha. I almost did spoil him at some point during the rewatch, but overall I'm a tomb (also it's more fun if he's not spoiled).
So far he's enjoying it a great deal, though I think it's difficult for him sometimes because a) his English isn't super fluent and b) he's from a non Western country, and some of the references go right over his head.

His favourite character is Willow, and he also sympathises and enjoys Spike a lot. Also, not Angel's biggest fan.
His favourite "arc" is the first half of S4, though it can still change. Overall he says he enjoys the post S3 stuff more than the highschool years.

I'm glad he's enjoying it. How awful if you'd married someone who didn't like Buffy 🙂

The high school years are great (all the seasons are great) but they are very specifically American, with cheer leader try outs and drivers ed. proms and Sadie Hawkins etc. none of which we had at my very English comprehensive. So it must be very different if you are not from a Western background. Although nowadays we're all raised on American films and tv shows.

Yeah, I can finally burn those divorce papers 😛

I think this might be it, although his issues with the highschool years are (from what he told me) the lack of realism and consequences of some plot points, and some of the emotional stuff being a little too "teenage-y" for his taste (especially in late S3).
But yes, the American highschool side of it doesn't help, although the middle school he attended was a lot more americanised than my own french school, so he's not entirely unfamiliar with it. Mostly the culture barrier is more in terms of philosophy and cultural references; not to mention he comes from a country that tries very hard to limit Western media consumption.

I am just tonight starting a rewatch of Angel the Series, although I'm not certain I'll watch every episode yet.

I might rewatch the second half of Angel season 5 soon, from the start of the Illyria story to the finale
