Am I the only person who does not like Spike from season 4 onwards? It seems like I am, cuz everone is always saying how great he is, He was really funny I will give him that, he was ok in season 4 but from when he fell in love with Buffy, I think he got really boaring! And I hated him in season 7, I really hated how much Buffy relied on him aswell. I think Spike make a much better bad guy, and he was funny again when he went to angel.

Spike was always a highlight for me. I don't see why people hate the chip, I thought it was a great way to bring Spike into the series more. And season 5 Spuffy was funny but sweet too.

He did get a bit more boring when he had his soul. but is there any other direction the plot could have taken? They would have ended up repeating themselves. He was still a highlight of the series, and delivered one of few eps that I enoyed, Lies My Parents Told Me.

totally agree with Croft Storm. spike is my fave character on the show, from the moment he appeared in 'shcool hard' until his last appearence in angel. i loved all of the twists his character went through, all the different arcs he was given. JM is a great actor, as well!

I agree with you. Spike was cool in season two when he was actually bad. After season four he was just so whipped and boring. Then when he came on Angel he was just immature and annoying. the worst season for him was seaaon 7 because he was just Buffy's little boyfriend. It was like he took over Angel's job.... 😡

I liked him in every season. He was great as a bad guy in season 2. Very convincing. Then when he got chipped in season 4 and reluctantly joined the scoobies against the Initiative, I thought he was hilarious. I loved seeing him at Giles apartment. Season 5 I liked how he was still evil but his love for Buffy overshadowed the evilness in him. Season 6 was probably my least favorite Spike season 6, but it wasn't that bad. In season 7 there was nothing else for him to do as far as character development, so I understand what he did. Also there were some great Spuffy moments that season. In Angel I thought he was a perfect fit. Him and Angel had some great scenes. I think if Angel was allowed one more year, he would have grown even more and been even better.

I always liked Spike, but I did like him more when he was a bad guy. He was more interesting by far. I didn't really like the whole chip thing, but it brought him into the show more so I guess I can't complain. I still haven't decided whether or not I think him getting a soul was a good idea. It was definitely interesting, but I'm not sure I liked it. But I loved Spike in every appearance on Buffy and Angel.

I gotta say that I never stopped liking Spike.. Well, I didn't really like what they did to him in the beginning of season 7, that was a bit boring to be honest, and just.. Un-spike-y... But the end of season 7, I loved, just like Angel season 5. I like that Spike changed as much as he did, he never stopped being interesting in my opinion (except for those early season 7 episodes that is)..

you don't like crazy!spike?

I never stopped liking Spike, I started watching during the 6th season and really had no favorites but I don't know during the grave episode or maybe in season 7 sometime he became my favorite. When I watched the series from the beginning I realized I liked him best in season two and when he was on Angel in s5.

I never stopped liking him either, I always felt that he was an interesting character and James is doing a really great job. What would have been boring I think if he had stayed "evil", now we instead got to see many more sides and so of him.

so true. if he was playing the big bad forever he would've gotten boring.
Omg Omg Omg Wtf! I Looooooooove Spike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He he so only like one person agress with me that after season 4 he got crappy! Anyone else feel like they just used him to replace angel? Also would anyone else not like a Spike spin off? He would be my least fav character to get a spin off (But hes the most likely!). It's just its already been done, the vampire with a soul Spin off!

I can see why you don't like him, since he changed so much, but I definitely don't think he was used to replace Angel. He brought a completely different vibe to the show than Angel did. Spike created dissension and brought comedic relief, while Angel created tension and angst.

Yeah it's been done, but Spike and Angel are totally different to one another. If Spike does get a spin off, then I personally would be curious to see how they would explore the character of Spike...after all, he has changed a lot from when he was first introduced to us, so he could have evolved even more since we last saw him. I guess I would be interested is what i'm trying to say.

Oh and yes I did like Spike a lot, despite the changes he went through. He was a character that just kept me intrigued again and again, and never failed to amuse me...he was one of my fav characters!

True we already have a vampire with a soul spin-off. But this would be totally different. It would be interesting to see how Spike would interact with other people on HIS OWN show. Spike and Angel are so different. I can't see Spike out there every night fighting for redemption. The show would definitly be very different than Angel. I am not sure how the would exactly do it, but knowing Joss he would find a way to make it great.

I liked Spike in everything. Just when you thought he'd gotten boring, he'd do something funny or crazy or whatever.

But Soulless!Spike is WAY better than Soul!Spike, for the simple fact that eyeliner looks good on pale men. It's a truth.
