Anyone else not like Spike??

I don't see a Spike spinoff having any point. We have done the vampire with a soul thing and who wants more fanged four flashbacks? On Angel and Buffy they explored his character to death, he has no more point!

everything you said is stupid.

How do you know that the character of Spike has been explored to death? He grew so much throughout the seasons he was in Buffy and Angel, and I think that there's still so much more left of Spike to discover. Oh and I'm with FahrbotDrusilla, I'd like to see more flashbacks of the fanged four!!

I liked the Fanged Four Flashbacks but there was only so much to do with them. They Made out, killed, and maimed. There isn't much story. As for Spike, how hasn't he been explored to death? Between getting a soul and everything that happened after I'd say his character reached his max. Plus Speaking logically how could they do the show?I mean what cast could they use?

You have good point.

haha I don't remember allot of that in the show. yeah they were evil but the flashbacks always had a point that matched with the story line... in a Spike show I would assume that most of the flash backs would happen post Angelus getting his soul. I always wanted to know what Darla told them happened to Angelus, also I kinda want to know what Dru and Spike were up to for the hundred-ish years they were together outside the group.

A Spike show could consist of Spike, Illyria, Andrew, and Dawn, or other combinations that include Xander, Faith and/or other members of the Angel/Buffy casts... it could also show him as a human trying to do the same thing Angel did as a vampire, that would also bring a new twist to the verse. (and make him a better man, as we recall Angel couldn't do it without the demon in him)

I don't like spike, so Black eye guy, you're not the only one...I liked him during season 2 and three cuz he was bad back then, but after angel left I thought he was too much angel, u know??? And then the whole Buffy-thing...for some reason I can't even watch it...I really don't know why...

Actually, I do get what you are saying. In a way we did see all there was to Spike when he got a soul. I guess for me I would like to see more of Spike and I feel that there's still a lot more layers we can peel off of this character. When he first appeared in Buffy, I admit, I didn't like him. As he became a regular character, he showed more of himself, and I began to like him. Now he's one of my favourite characters on the show, so for him to have a spin-off, I believe we would explore more of his character both from the past and in the present and possibly future.

As for the cast, that is totally up in the air for me. I don't think I would have a clue! I guess they could incorporate some of the cast from Buffy and Angel, as well as introduce some new faces.

I like Spike but I hated how in season 4 and 5 everyone started stepping all over him just cause he had that chip.If Spike was chipless, the scoobies would've never treated him they way they did.Otherwise, Spike would kill them all: )

Spike was my favorite character up until he started groveling over Buffy. That was just pathetic and I thought it ruined his character. In season 2 he was the best!!

He was totally immasculated. :thumbsdow

I have been reading the new issue of the Buffy and Angel Magazine and there is an interview with JM about a Spike spin-off:

B/AM: He said that Spike's the one character that he would be really interested in doing a TV movie with...

JM: The Liar[laughs]. The real truth of it is that I'm the only one who's willing to do it. David and Sarah dont want to do it. So that's what that is. In all honesty, I never really thought that Joss had any ideas for my character . If you examine the plot structure of the show, my character's remained incredibly passive. Most of the time everyone's going "Why is Spike here, anyway?"

I love James I think he's great and a true Buffyverse fan however if actors knew everything regarding their characters they'd be writers. James isn't. He's an actor. Let's take another Buffyverse Actor Sarah Michelle Gellar stated in the TV Guide Is this the end?

SMG: I disagreed with the Buffy/Spike balcony scene so much....Ya know Im sure Joss meant for Buffy and Xander to get together and then changed his mind when he saw the great dynamic with Angel. I do know that once he finishes both shows that Buffy and Angel will ride off in the sunset together becuase they are each other's destiny.

I think I could find a similar quote for each of the actors. They are part of the character because they play the character but the only person who can truly make such statements might just be Joss.

I despised Spike in season7, it was the last season and they focused TOOOOOO much on him, the season I felt shouldve centered more around The orignal scoobies instead of a newly insouled vampire always being hte majority of the episodes with a big part.

He he so only like one person agress with me that after season 4 he got crappy! Anyone else feel like they just used him to replace angel? Also would anyone else not like a Spike spin off? He would be my least fav character to get a spin off (But hes the most likely!). It's just its already been done, the vampire with a soul Spin off!

I totally agree he was just stupid after season 4. He got all blubbery and pathetic chasing Buffy around like a lost puppy. He totally lost his manhood in my eyes. Then the attempted rape put it over the top for me.

I think a Spike spin-off would be a bit redundant at this point because it's been done already....but if they decided to do it I'd most likely still check it out.

Same here he is my least favourite spin off, i'd still watch it and wouldn't midn if it happens but would much more prefer a new slayer, faith, illyria or even a willow spin off instead

I could sit here and write a long post in defense of Spike. But I'm not going to bother. You all have your opinion and should stick to it. And I have mine. Which is that Spike was, to me, the most fascinating character in Jossverse. Many people believe that Spike had developed as much as he could by the end of ANGEL's Season 5. I don't think so. I believe there are some areas in his character that still requires some exploration and development. I'm rather glad that there will be a new Spike movie. And I hope that Whedon, Minear and Marsters will continue to do justice to the character.

I despised him in Season 6 and ended up hating him at the end of that season.
