Anyone here like Harry Potter?

I plan on seeing the new film in 3D with friends at midnight on July 15th 😀.

Favorite Book: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Favorite Movie: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Favorite Character: Luna Lovegood (and I wish she had more of a role in the films)

Favorite couple: Ron and Hermione. Although, if we expand this to platonic friendship, then Harry and Hedwig 🙂.

Favorite Villain: Bellatrix LaStrange (mostly because of Helena Bonham Carter's portrayal, but she is a very cool character in her own right)
 
I'm looking forward to seeing the last film, though I'll be sad when it's all over. Don't think I'll be seeing it in 3D though as it's extortionate and ultimately not worth it.

Dude I LOVEEEEEEEEEEE Harry Potter! So freaking excited for the midnight premiere! Going to see it in 3D! Not sure it needed to be in 3D, but the 2D midnight premiere showing was sold out when I bought my tickets (like 3 weeks ago)

I LOVE A Very Potter musical and the Sequel!!! They are they best!! Did you know the guy who played Harry, plays Blaine on Glee?
I used to really like Harry Potter, But not as much. I just think it's gone on way to long..

I'd say Snape.. but he doesn't really count, does he? I think I'll go with Bellatrix Lestrange, because she is just.. mad. And I really like Helena Bonham Carter's portrayal of her in the movies.
 
I usually don't feel particulary sad when a saga ends, but...I'm kinda upset. When I think about it, Harry Potter is an adventure that lasted for me on a period on two decades of my life. I was, what, 8? when I discovered it? I'm going to be 20 and it's over. It's really over. When the books were over, I was kinda happy because I finally knew how it ended, and I knew it wasn't going to be over soon because they were still the movies to go out.
I think Harry Potter was even a bigger part of my life than Buffy, because the adventure lasted way longer.
And now, seeing the last premieres, the last trailers, soon the last movie...It's really over after that.
And knowing that, it just makes me feel like it's the end of an era in a way.
I might be just a tad teary, writing this.

So, are you guys upset too?
 
I like Harry Potter! I'm currently reading the 4th book, and I plan to finish the whole series this summer 🙂. But I've liked Harry Potter since I was really little, because I joined this Harry Potter RPG forum when I first started reading the books, and the site was really cool because it had a Hogwarts section where you could pretend to take all the classes that were in the books and movies. So even though I'm not on the site anymore, I'd say Harry Potter is a nice part of my life because years ago when I started reading the series, they were the first chapter books I read and got into. And I'm so excited to see The Deathly Hollows Part 2 tommorow!
 
@Ms. Trick, you're not alone. I feel sad, too. I saw the final movie yesterday, and as great as it was, I felt kinda empty afterwards because that was it. Forever. The End. And now I'm reading fanfiction to make me feel better.

I grew up with Harry Potter. It defined my childhood. Now it's over. 🙁
