There was a webcomic I used to keep up with until I moved and the computer with it bookmarked didn't survive relocation...followed by other emergencies before I could think to find it again with the new computer. This would've been 2009.
My memory is very vague now. It started off really silly about monsters (it had something of an Addams Family feel, at least at first, though they remained hidden from humans), and the protagonist seems to be a vampire boy. At first it was just brief short stories on the silly side, like I remember when some roaming kids intrude upon the abandoned house they live in to find them a bigger problem than they thought (at one point the vampire boy demands to know why the Draino the kid spiked the intruder's drink with didn't kill him in which the guy laughs back that he's done so much meth he can't even tell). The stories slowly got longer and more serious.
One of the early ones was the boy vampire feared sunlight only to find out it didn't hurt him. So he went to tell the other vampires and proved it to them. The other vampires came out gleefully to rule the day as well as the night for them to combust into ashes, leaving a mystery why it didn't affect the vampire boy that way. And as the comic progressed, it looked as if that was going to be answered.
