Anyone read SAGA by Brian K Vaughn and Fiona Staples?

The Buffy Boom!Studios reboot got me back into reading comics - I just finished reading what's available of Brian K. Vaughn and Fiona Staples' SAGA, and am rereading Neil Gaiman's the Sandman. Has anyone else read SAGA? If you thought the Whedonverse was full of death and pain --- the SAGAverse bests it on several levels.

I got the 2nd hardcover collection this Christmas but not started it yet. The first was brilliant, but then I was already a fan from Y: The Last Man.

I would highly recommend Saga to anyone, even if you don't like comics.

Yeah, Saga is awesome. Currently partway through a year-long hiatus.

I suspect Brian K. Vaughn is the one who taught Joss his "kill your darlings" ethos.

"Paper Girls" is another great current series by BKV, just about to start its final arc.

I tried to read it, but it was not really my thing even though I am a big fan of comics. I think that I wasn't in the mood for it, but I do want to give it another try.

Saga is great!

Repeating what others have said, Y: The Last Man and Paper Girls are also very good.
