Anyone Seen Fargo Show?

Has anyone seen the Fargo show on FX? I've just finished season 1 and am starting on season 2, and it's fantastic! I'm a huge Coen Brothers fan, and I didn't think would live up to the movie but imo it definitely has. I highly recommend it!

It's fantastic! I think I enjoyed S2 beter than S1, but both were great. Kirsten Dunst plays unhinged so well (hope that isn't a spoiler). I love the way the stories are intertwined and can't wait to see Ewan McGregor in S3

I've watched three episodes of season 3, and I was suspecting unhinged-ness on her part 😉. So far I'm not sure how I feel about season 2. I mean, obviously it's great, I just may prefer season 1. SPOILERS While I like the mafia family angle and seventies style, I feel like it's getting farther away from the central feel of Fargo and more into something that could be done on another (albeit awesome) show.

I understand what you are saying, but I felt they have tried to expand the Fargo universe. I also think S1 was so good it was going to be hard to top it, though I really think they did by the end. S2 was more surreal with the characters being more 'out there' and I think that fitted more with the period, just before Regan comes to power and we get into the 80's proper. S3 is set in 2010 so it should feel more 'normal' to us 🙂

I feel the same way. I only watched two or so episodes of S2 before giving up on it. It felt more predictable and I hate mafia shows/movies. Since I watched S1, I'm cool with not finishing S2. I'm sure that it's a great season, but it wasn't really captivating me. Like True Detective S2, although that season was actually bad.

Don't know. I'm not very good at watching shows. I'm rarely in the mood to watch new ones, so I always end up rewatching my favorite shows instead. 🙂 But, maybe...

You should give it a try! Fargo needs fans. I really think Fargo needs a season set in like 1996...cus S2 was 1979, movie was 1987, and then s1 was 2006 and s3 will be 2010. We're missing the nineties, and I feel like that decade would serve Fargo's ideals maybe best of all 🙂.
