Anyone think Liverpool stands a chance of beating Juventus? Lots of injuries are coming into play now...if only Nando wasn't cup-tied!

Chelsea's got it covered...

It will be interesting to see if AC-Inter can come down to away goals again lol...

You should try following a rubbish team like I do...Champions League, pah! My lot will be lucky to get out of the Championship (or as we oldsters still call it Division 1)😉

But United aren't in the Champions League anymore 😛 (How about that Norwich?)

JK

But in other news...

Holy crap that Milan match! Did anyone else see that shit? What total insanity! Makes me very concerned about what's about to happen with Juve-Liverpool tomorrow and the anniversary of Heysel and all.

Coisty made a very good point about it which was: where were the police while all this is happening? They couldn't get the crowd under control and have police in the stands before the started the match again?! Come on...

Chelsea played a completely defensive game and their result reflected that...bring on the semi finals!

OMG!!! I know!!! It is SOOO crazy!!

He, he, he, it's nice to see Chelski beaten for once. So anyone think Liverpool can actually go on to win it? I'm a Man United fan so I'm not that fussed if they win it or lose it. It's just nice they beat Roman's Russian army.

Man U fan here too but i really want Liverpool to win the Champions League now. Chelsea didn't deserve it based on tonight's performance.

They were definitely outplayed by Liverpool, but they did deserve it in general. I would like to see the Pool win it all though, so that they have a chance to be in the Champions League again next year. If only Drogba could have hit that Gudjohnsen cross...but the Pool definitely stepped up today. Usually they come out hard and fast and then taper off the second half, but they kept it up today. I'm just glad to not have to listen to Tommy Smyth anymore lol

United spends a lot more money on players than Chelsea though... 😉

Thank you for bringing up such a painful subject...why don't you just give me a nice paper cut, and pour lemon juice on it?

(Kidding!)

I do have to say one thing I noticed yesterday...Now I'm the first person to admit Jose's personality problems, but I was watching the post match interviews with him, and then reading the BBC website articles about what he said, and they totally twisted his words around to make it seem much worse than it was.

lol, well at least you guys won the cup and the championship, my club is going on it's 13th year of dry 😛
well i was never a fan of Porto, and honnestly never cared much bout Mourinho, but everyone here after he won everything with Porto had to admit the guy is good..
i frankly was amazed he lost.. but i guess there's always a 1rs time..

Well, it'll be Milan in the final, but they only just got through tonight. Perhaps there's hope for Liverpool.......

Y'know, as much as i'm a Man U fan i won't hear a bad thing said about Chelsea, or their Manager. Jose may come across as a little arrogant but he is damn good at his job and really fantastic with his players. Any success they have had this year has been well deserved.

I'm really glad that Liverpool are the ones to go through though. On the night they were the better team and that is all it comes down to, in my opinion. Besides, it's better to spread the silverware around a little. Chelsea took the Premiership and Carling Cup. Liverpool seem like they at least have a chance to win the Champions League and i'm confident that we will take the FA Cup this year.

Such a shame about Arsenal though ... :redwink:

lol...yeah, poor Arsenal😛

The thing about Jose is - he certainly did a great job of keeping the focus off the players in the media, so they could just go out there and play. I think that was entirely intentional.

As for Liverpool - having Xabi back will be a good boost for them, he's one of the best players on the team. And PSV showed yesterday that Milan can be beaten (even if they themselves couldn't do it in the end).

🙂

It's very difficult for me to say this as I'm a Man Utd fan, but all the best to 'Pool tonight. 🙂

Well I dont like or support football in any way but I found myself in the pub (well several actually) today and must say, it was an impressive comeback. Im really glad they won because it was such an upbeat amosphere and it made me happy. So yay for them 😀

No I wasn't jumping up and down in my living room and yelling and clapping... 😀

My little Stevie Gerrard finally showed up and Xabi the best player on the team came through. And Jerzy had some rough patches but he made up for it in the end. Woo hoo the Pool! 😀

I only switched over when it was at the penalties, there was a double episode of Cracker on and it was the break 😉

Pleased that they won as my mate Rich is a huge fan so I was cheering them on a bit for him.
