Has anyone seen that tv program
I believe it's same company as Dawson creek and buffy as all were on cw I think

I have. I've even written crossover Buffy/OTH fanfic. I really respect the writing and acting in that series. I think it gets a lot less respect than it deserves. Like Buffy, it has very well realized characters and situations. Yes, it's a 'teen drama' but that does NOT mean it's a bad show.

Well s1 was too confusing especially first half but im on s2

I like One Tree Hill, its probably my favorite pure coming of age show (i.e. non-fantasy). Generally like Seasons 1-4 more than the later stuff, tbh most shows like this are better during the high school years, and unlike Buffy there is less reason for everyone to hang with each other after that point which makes the charecters draw apart a little from Season 5 onwards.

Did occur to me some paralels can be found between OTH and Buffy charecters. Lucas reminds me a little of Angel in some ways, Nathan of Spike, Hayley has a slightly Willow vibe especially early on, Brooke is a bit like Cordelia (although a little nicer), Rachel would be Faith, Karen is Joyce, Keith would be Giles, and I guess Mouth is Jonathan if he had friends.

Can't remember what its called, but there is a pretty good OTH/Buffy crossover on Archive of Our Own. Brooke, Peyton and Hayley are magically summoned to Sunnydale to help deal with a new big bad. The ending is pretty sad with a character death, though I suppose that's par for the course in the Whedonverse.

If anyone wants a HEA Buffy and One Tree Hill crossover, please read my story A New Heart where Dan Scott ends up with the heart of a slayer - and nothing in Tree Hill is ever quite the same!
😎

I think i like the post high school stuff better bc i am the age of the parents and relate better to the characters as they become adults.

I really like the way their aging into adulthood (& actor real ages) is handled. Hint; no messy university to negotiate. IMO season 4 was Buffy's least coherent though it has some great episodes.

Uni is not high school and yet often we make stupider choices bc we are unsupervised. Writing that is messy by definition and rarely done well unless uni, *not* an ongoing story saga (such as Buffy) is the focus. (Best example of a uni focused show was A Different World) A Different World - Wikipedia
