Anyone with the 'Fuzz' buzz?

I've been looking forward to this movie for a while. I'm just mad I have to wait longer to see it. I guess its the US's turn to wait to see movies.
But this movie looks awesome, and with Pegg and Frost it shouldn't be a disappointment.

In case anyone missed it Faldor posted his review of Hot Fuzz Here . There may be spoilers but no more than your average newspaper review.

It seems he liked it but not as much as he liked Shaun of the Dead...then again, he was involved in that production...go on, ask him...I dare you 😉
 
I fancy seeing this one too, I still haven't got around to watching Shaun of the Dead yet though - even though I have it on DVD...... I blame my hubby - he never wants to watch it when I suggest it!

I thought it was a wee bit disappointing, to be honest. It lost a lot of momentum in the middle. Shaun's genius was that it found the right balance between fond homage and outright spoofery... I don't think Hot Fuzz manages it in quite the same way. It takes itself far too seriously, far too often. Macho cop dramas are funny precisely because they are so bloody po-faced, so that's a big mistake. I can't help feeling that a touch of Jessica Stevenson might have helped, just a little bit.

Still, it has got Bill Bailey. The actual Eb0l plot is hysterical, and the cast are predictably brilliant. And it has got the most fantastically abysmal murder of a Cardigan's song I've ever heard.

Enjoyable, but no Shaun, and certainly no Spaced.
 
It looks pretty funny.

As for Shaun of the Dead, I've had that movie for months and months now, STILL haven't seen it, except for one or two scenes. It looks good so I don't know why I haven't watched it yet. *shrug*

But then again I own at least 10 DVDs that I haven't watched yet.
 
I watched Shaun of the Dead when it was on tv a couple of months ago... I thought it was one of the most unfunny films I have possibly ever seen! So I'll give Hot Fuzz a miss I think 😛
 
I just watched Hot Fuzz earlier. It is really good. Extremely funny, a lot of senseless violence. As good or if not better then Shaun.
However, there wasn't any fights to Queen, somewhat disapointing.
 
I loved Hot Fuzz. I nearly died when the priest came out with the guns and yells when he's shot in the foot.
 
I really enjoyed this movie, although I must confess I prefer Shaun of the dead.

If any of you out there liked this or Shaun, if you haven't already done so you should take a look at the TV series Spaced which features Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Jessica Stevenson.
 
Funny, i love this movie (watching it again tonight in fact) and Shaun of the dead, but I never liked Spaced.
 
Haven't seen this yet but I'm a big Shaun of the Dead fan so no doubt I'll catch it sooner or later. Looks pretty good.
