Apocalypse Nowish:Is it the real Cordy?

🙄 well, it finally happen. Connor and Cordelia slept together But are we sure that is the real Cordelia, because she seem to change her mind to quick over her choice to sleep with Connor, right after giving Angel the royal kiss-off. Than we have the demon taunt Angel over the fact that Connor might not be able to protect her, knowing that he (angel) will go and check on her, therefore catching them in the act. it all seem planned but by who?::eyes::

Cordelia is no longer a high being anymore. So, do that make her a "fallen angel"? Could she be on the same side of the "big bad" or a Pawn ? :😛?::


I for one likes Connor and Cordelia together, a lot of people seem to think he is to young, or she is too old. he's 18, and she only around 21. Angel was , what, around 26 or 30 (400) when she was with Buffy who was only 16. beside as much as I like Angel, she need someone who she can look at sunrises with, and she won't have to sweep up after it over.( Joking ,LOL)

Because when the demon looked at Cordelia and he seemed like he was going to kill her, yet he stop. Why? was it because of Cordy, or did he recognize something in Connor? (who told him to leave her alone).

I think it's the real Cordy. The only explanation I thought of for why he left her alive was that he had bigger plans i.e. end of the world. The whole set up he'd been working on with all the paranormals around the city making that sign with the trendy night spot at the center so he could start the whole Rain of Fire thing was more important than killing off one no-longer higher being. After all, once he was through they should all be dead anyway so on to the big fish. Plus it gave him ammo to torment Angel with, I imagine this is Evil's idea of fun.

You reminded me, though, that Cordy was being drawn to the place that the demon erupted from so her powers-that-be good-girl senses were activated. Also no-one's really talked about the fact that the place he came up was Connor's birth place.

As for the Cordy/Connor thing I don't think it was so much a change of mind as a 'what difference does it make, world ending and all'. In fact she said "because I don't think it matters anymore". And the the biggest reason people are grossed out by the connection is the fact that she was mothering him a few months ago when he was a baby. The years between them now aren't so many but he's a Very Immature '18', and she's a very mature 21-22 because of her experiences at AI and the 'gift' of the visions and her commitment to fighting for good. I can't really see someone just coming out of high school, say, with someone who's a year out of college. And the difference between these 2 is much greater due to the circumstances. It's about a lot more than a 4-5 year age difference.

Plus I have decided to be a Dawn and Conner fan 🙂

I didn't see the episode before "Apocalypse nowish" (where they all turned to teenagers) but so far, I do not like Cordelia this season. Ok, I understand she had amnesia, so I can't place judgment on her there. But in this episode, she wasn't really...her. I like the old Cordy.

I agree with Buffy Anne on the whole age thing. I think what grosses people out the most is the fact that she was just mothering him a few months ago. I was shocked at the end of this episode. I really was. I didn't expect her to do that. But then again, it was the end of the world to them, right?

Was it really the end of the world though?? OK, maybe to Angel and the rest of the crew fighting the battle at the top of the tower...but the rest of the world? Lots of fireballs coming down, but no destruction! Where were the things blowing up, catching on fire, etc. Everyone in their separate areas were just fine...Lilah, Fred, Cordy/Conner. Why weren't the buildings being destroyed? Looked like a good light show to me...not the end of the world. So after all Cordy's been through, why now to give up hope and to the unthinkable??

If it isn't the real Cordy, she did a pretty convincing Queen C in "Spin the Bottle". 🙂

I think the primary reason the Beast attacked her and Connor was because they were *there* when he emerged, and maybe also because Cordy reeked of good and Connor got involved by defending her. Then the Beast got bored (which he seems to have done at the club as well), and went about his real business, as Buffy Anne described above.
