What is on your list of Apps that you cant live without? Either by choice, or not, which apps do you love and which do you loathe?

Banking app is probably the most important one.
Instagram is my doom scrolling app.
Everything else is the browser app.

I do listen to Spotify a lot as well, but I do still own a radio so could live without it.

I can change that. Would you like some Gold Pants in your feed?

Yeah most of mine are too but Zoom is being a bitca and telling me I need to get the app now or I cant view images. I shall have to move with the times and upgrade to the apps.

Apps dont let me do ad block do they? Bastards.

Spotify is my most recent one that I cannot live without and I may even have to find room in the budget for it considering how much I have used it so far.

Banking apps, given just about every bank/credit card/charge card requires me to have an app in order to use online banking, or has replaced online banking with an app, or has features that can only be used within the app. I even had to get a new phone because of them (okay, it was a very, very old phone that barely worked thanked to OS upgrades devouring all the memory, but that still was the reason I finally upgraded).

Yes its so annoying! I also check my account a ridiculous amount of times a week when I dont need to, so it drives anxiety to have it at my fingertips

I feel this! It's so annoying.
Reddit and Insta for my social media.
Nextdoor for keeping up with what's going on in my neighborhood.
The Atlantic app for news. I love listening when I'm cooking or doing housework. I also read the Seattle Times daily, and sometimes the Chicago Tribune too.
Walmart for grocery delivery.
Lyft.
Goodreads for keeping track of what I've read.
Rocket Money for budgeting.
eBay for my side hustle.
And lastly Bands In Town so I can keep updated on local music in my city.

It has made me much more precious about my phone too, as losing it or having it damaged locks me out of accounts until I can get it sorted. When everything was web only, this wasn't an issue.
Top Apps in no particular order

Browsers
Facebook & Instagram
Weather & News
Messaging apps like Whatsapp & Messenger
Music & Youtube
Shopping apps like Amazon & Vinted
Banking & bills unfortunately lol
Health apps like NHS & my watch
Taxi's
Alarm & Calendar
I have others like games and Freeprints stuff like that bust the above are the most used ones I think!!

Banking app, browser, clock/alarm, and weather app are ones I need. I also use some social apps pretty frequently. However, a few fun apps that are part of my routine now are Flick, which is basically Letterboxd but you can use it to log TV shows too, Tubi, which has some absolutely insane free movies, and Canva, which I use to make mock-ups, posters, and collages from my phone. I also love Spotify, the price for ad-free is outrageous but I don't think I could go without it haha.

Readera premium:

(The free version does all same things - except a few featutres are less convenient to use. Used it for over a year before deciding it was well worth paying for. It is worth downloading the free and using to check out the features.)
The paid version is a small one time charge. The free version has no ads other than occcasional encoragement to use the premium version.

Reading books with ReadEra

Reads just about any format. And it will read most of them aloud with voices from all over the world (and whatever language.) I listen to a lot of books that are not in audioformat.

I also listen to tons of fanfic, mostly epubs. This is really handy when i am driving long distances.

_____

I also use regular library apps - Libby and Hoopla. I read A LOT.

_______

I also reallly like the world clock (integral to the alarm part of the phone's functions). I have people all over and it is good to not wake them in the middle of the night. I have programmed in the time of about 12 different cities.

_____

Other than browser and a few free games i am boring. I use the phone as a phone. Mostly i avoid social media. (This forum is as close to social media as i get)

I have Shazam on my phone to identify any music I hear. You hold the phone up to the music source and it tells you the name of the song and the artist who does it. I hear a lot of music I don't recognize and this lets me know where to look for it on YouTube.
