Xin Rong's recent confession got me thinking, and I decided that I too needed to come clean with the rest of the members here.

I am not the same person who started the board. You might know me as the adminstratrix of Screen-Gems.net. Back in September of 2009, after all the troubles this board was having, my friend "Buffy Summers" decided the stress of the member-behavior of the board was too much for her and she wanted to cut her ties to BB. She spoke to me about it and was reluctant to get rid of the board entirely after all the years of work put into it. I offered to take over the board as a sister to my own Screen Gems, and she accepted. We thought it would cause too much upheaval in a rocky time if it was announced, so I just took over her board account and kept on posting as her. This was also the reason for the name change to Darla.

I'm still the same person who has been here the past two and a half years, but I thought this was the time to take the opportunity to be honest about it.

I haven't been around very long, so you're still the same Darla I've always known, but for everyone else, I'm glad you've come clean and lifted that weight on your shoulders. 😀
 
The truth is guys...me and Buffy Summers had a thing....I broke her heart and she couldn't carry on the boards anymore and gave it to Darla to take over....I'm now in love with Darla but she has yet to accept my love cause of the previous relationship

please everybody PM Darla with the word "DARNY" letting her know that she should give us a chance to work....thank you 🙂

Oh God, I took it seriously and was about to write a post saying "Oh... I thought you were the same person all along and that it was common knowledge. Maybe I was dumb and just assumed wrong. You're Faith too, right?"

Oh no, i'm something completely different. You may call me "your majesty" or "supreme ruler".

I would like to point out that if you look at the time stamp on the initial post you will see that it is made after April 1st. Part of the reason I came back is to ease the transition as obviously, i've known from when it first happened.

The time was the first thing I checked. It says 5.59 am to me. Which should mean it was still april 1st on the American east coast, no? If you take the whole worlds time (Which you should since the boards have members from all over the world. Never forget the aussies!) april 1st is way longer than 24 hours.

With that said I too clearly remember that bad time and no one could have blamed Darla if she left/closed the boards. Well I'm sure some easily could but they'd be too selfish in that case.

You sound like the tvtropes homepage. 😀 "Somewhere on this world, it's April 1st"... which slightly ruins the "huh?" effect when it then rerouts you to a page full of foreign gibberish or pirate-talk immediately afterwards... 😉
 
Well... I feel like my whole world has been turned upside down. I mean.... I was only here a month before "Buffy Summers" left... But it's just a shocking realization to know that you and her are not the same person. I honestly do feel I've been lied to, but I'm not upset. I mean it's not like you deceived us for malicious reasons. Even so, this thought process is going to take a little time to wrap my brain around.

Well, I wasn't here then, so it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

What does bother me is that I can't decide whether this was meant to be an April fool or not. D: 😛 Time zones suck.

For some reason it was fairly believeable to some I guess. It just seemed very serious, but well done...you got more fooled than most April Fools jokes do. I didn't feel lied to anyway, because I wasn't here and didn't know the different. No matter what, you would have been the same awesome Darla so....🙂
