April Fools Day

I have never really had a GREAT prank pulled on me. I'm a pretty skeptical person, so I hardly ever take anything at face value... It's hard to prank me.

One year, I called my husband and told him I had broken my ankle on my way into my job. I cried like a champ, and he totally fell for it. However, because I was pregnant at the time, it probably wasn't the best thing to do; he totally freaked and I felt bad about it. LOL

Here is a video of some of my favorite pranks:

Actually, I think that I've been pulling a pretty good one on all of you ever since I joined the Boards. All this time you've been thinking that I'm a 66 year old man from Georgia, when in actuality, I'm a 43 year old woman who works as a librarian in Little Rock, Arkansas. I never saw anything that Joss Whedon ever did, I just found this forum while suefing the web one day, and thought that I would try to pull off a hoax without getting caught.

Gotcha!

Well that explains all your Spuffy posts... 😛

Prior to last night, I could have said absolutely no to this question.

HOWEVER...

Last night, I was on tumblr, and someone I had never followed suddenly appeared on my dashboard and my crushes, taking the place of someone who it appeared I had a mutual unfollow situation with. I was wildly confused, to the point where I actually made a post about it, asking if I'd gotten insanely drunk one night and just blacked out following/unfollowing these people. Got a message a few minutes later from one of them, asking me to take down my post because these two had switched URLs and themes just to screw with people for April Fools. Pretty good joke.

I don't usually get fooled. There have been a few April Fool's pranks on here that I almost fell for. I mean, I considered that it might be true and had to keep telling myself "Look at the date! Just wait a bit and you will find out it was bull crap!" haha.

I actually didn't notice all that many this year, even though there were apparently heaps of them. The only one that I really looked at was the whole Stephen King prank, and I didn't actually find out about it until today.

Apparently he set up this like really elaborate prank where his emails had been hacked revealing that he hasn't actually written his own stuff in years, but has a team of writers that do it for him.

His fans flipped out. I found it all rather amusing. Especially since people always seem to be speculating about how he can release so many novels, totally comes from jealousy imo. Although if it were actually true I woulda been so upset.

Thing is white avenger, when you posted that, in this time zone you were too late.
So, should I refer to you now as white avengeress?

What I see as why making a prank is on the decline; to many television shows doing the same all year round.
